  1. Hey Jon! That's where I found the plans as well. A member here actually came up with it. It's really great. I just went to the local horse supply store and bought Vet Wrap and wrapped where I knew the birds would be gripping it. I like it because it just adheres to itself and when you need to change it out it just peels off. The stand itself is a HUGE hit. My guys were all over it today and didnt want to go back to their cages. LOL. Not to mention that is was CHEAP, way easy to make and it looks cool. I can't wait to make another. We modified ours a little to accomodate hanging a toy. It's better than any other stand I could buy and it can be cleaned very easily. Can you tell I like it? LOL! Thank you so much for the warm welcome guys!!!
  2. Everything as far as the skeleton of the stand is 3/4" PVC then wrapped in vet wrap. I just need to get casters to put on the feet and it will be complete.
  3. Can you see it now? It should be showing up. Posting this on the iPhone is a challenge. Lol
  4. Today the birdies all got spray baths with Aloe Vera juice. I have to say that they were very cooperative and even enjoyed it a bit. In fact each preened after for about a half hour or so and are looking better than ever. I had read that you can cut the aloe vera with water but that it would be okay to use it full strength. I did 3 parts AV to 1 part h2o. I think it worked great and all four birds are soft and looking good. I even sprayed Winstons bumm down pretty good and he didn't mind. No grumbling or yelling at all. He even lifted his wings for me. I was very surprised. Maybe my baby boy is growing up. I'm not holding my breath on that one..... Lol. Thanks for all the input folks! I really appreciate it!
  5. Thanks for your responses guys Here is a pic of Winstons back side. He just looks so messy but he is a baby still and really does play very rough at times. Sorry about the cluttered background....
  6. Thanks so much Judy Here are a couple of pics of Winston (CAG) and Oz (Eclectus).
  7. Hey guys! Tonight we bulit a version of the playstand that cdelatorrejr posted a while back. It is perfect! Including the vet wrap that we found at a local tack store it cost about 50.00 and the birds LOVE it! Here are some pics. Winston our CAG and Oz our Eclectus had alot of fun on it tonight Russ
  8. Hello everyone!! My name is Russ and my Grey is Winston I am so happy to be here. This forum is so very informative and fun. In fact my partner and I have just built a playstand that I found here. I will post pics in the appropriate thread. So what to say about myself and of course Winston.... Winston is 9months old. He is an animated little thing. Well, big thing actually. LOL. I love him so much. My partner Mark and I have six dogs and four birds in our zoo. Winston the CAG, Oz a male Eclectus, Monkey a Sun Conure and Giddeon a very moody Indian Ringneck. They all get along and antagonize each other non-stop. Thank you so much for this site. I can't wait to jump in
  9. Yes he is a very aggressive player. He loves to hang upside down on his toys and bat them around. I just figured that he is young but was curious. I'll take a picture and post it in the next day or two. Thank you so much for your reply Russ
  10. Hey everyone. This is my first time posting here. I have a nine month old CAG named Winston, who is a handful to say the least. I adore him. My question is... Does it take a while for their red tail feathers to come in full. He doesnt pluck them but thye look very messy and a few have fallen out. Is this perhaps just a young Grey thing? He has a balanced diet and takes a bath at least once a week but hates it. Any advice or info would be very much appreciated! Russ
