The baby cags are from our nest.We have 14 parrots in the house beside those 3 baby cags. The baby cag is not too young. Some breeders take baby cags out of their nest when they are only 3 days old. This is not our first parrot on hand rearing but they are our first baby cags.We have friends who are experts on hand rearing baby birds and we`ve got a lot of advices from them.Tommorow we`re gonna take him to the vet who is an experts for parrots. We couldn`t possibly took them from nest when they would be old enough(3 months) because they would be wild.We waited 5 years for baby cags(we have a cag couple...male is from Africa, female from cag raising center in Italy).Beside those legs, the baby is in a good condition;he`s very active/playful and curious,he eats a lot,he started to preen himself and he is in a incubator only trough night. The incubator have the right temperature and moister and the other two baby cags don`t have the same problems.I know that he`s gonna get a small brace which he`s gonna have to wear it for couple of weeks.I have a lot of experience with birds because they are part of my life,I grew up with them.We just never had that kind of problem with a baby bird and I`m worried/I was worried. My baby is just acting so normal that I know that everything is gonna be fine.

Post edited by: Binncy, at: 2009/04/04 09:36
