Hello Everyone, I'm new here and a new gaurdian to a Yellow Sided Green Cheeked Conure. Although I grew up with birds in my home, we never owned a Green Cheeked and it's been a long time since I've had a bird!! I was told that this conure is about 4-6 weeks old. Is this too young to be weaned? I've read some of your posts and I'm seeing that most are finally taking home their 11-12 week old conures from their breeders. We just brough he/she home last night and of course he's very nervous. Does anyone have tips for bonding with my new bird? Is this bird to young and therefore traumatized? I know everyone on this site will tar and feather (no pun intened) for this but I did purchase my conure from a Petland chain petstore. Please be honest and tell me if I made a mistake doing this!!
