  1. OMG!!! I love him, I love him, I love him!!!!!:cheer:
  2. Its amazing that he is potty trained!! I was quite shocked at, well, the size of his droppings, much larger than my quaker!! I got that boing from Fosters and Smith. It was quite a bit cheaper than the other stores/catalogs I buy from. You can just keep adding all kinds of stuff to it. He sits way on the top all day, watching over everyone in the house. You should see Roxys cage, its ridiculous...Ill try to ad photo...
  3. I will figure it out! It so amazing, because I was fully prepared to just let him sit and observe our family, get used to noises and voices, etc......NOPE....he surprised us!! He steps up right out of his cage to anyone in the family, already learned my Quakers name "Roxy" , they laugh back and forth....my cat walk in and he says "meow" and the phone rings and he says "hello".....no warming up period here!! He has his little "can" that he sits on to potty, he does not like to go in his cage. I got nutty last night and hung a large boing from the ceiling that he sits on all day. Im gonna figure out the resizing thing now......
  4. I was enamored the moment I saw him. I am in parrot love! He is SO well behaved, potty trained, tells me he needs to "poo" and just basically shocks me every day!! He talks and talks and talks. I dont understand everything he says, because I am always so surprised that this alien voice has invaded my home! I work 4 hours a day, and am always so anxious to get home and sit with him. I will add more photos when I figure out how to shrink their size.
  5. I am still waiting to find out about Sidney! Yes, I plan to just let him be for awhile, and observe the surroundings. I will follow his lead. I will let you all know what I find out! I am not being very patient
  6. Hi, All!! Thanks for your replies! My (hopeful) Timneh currently has a home where the (mom) has just been accepted to a college program, and will need to be working 2 jobs. She knows enough about our feathered friends that she can not give it the attention it needs. I currently am mom to Roxy, a quaker, who is spoiled rotten!! And have always wanted a grey. Roxy currently gets all of his food an toys from a place in Minneapolis, MN, called "parrot island" and all food is organic, human grade. His favorite food is dried peas, has no interest in fruits!. I will try to attach photos of my spoiled Roxy. Other than that, and the 2 congos that my vet has, I have not had experience with these guys. I am home after noon every day, and have much time to devote to my (hopeful) new one. I am so excited!!!
  7. HI there! I am (hopefully) about to adopt a Timneh, 8 yrs old from a great home!! I already have Roxy, a Quaker. I am SO excited. I should find out tonight or tomorrow if and when I can pick him (or her) up! Not DNAd yet! He will come with a large cage, which I may replace, to match Roxys, and I will order his food from a place in Minneapolis where I get Roxys. What else do you all reccommend? I am SO psyched!!! YIPPEE
