Hey Jilly Thank you so much for understanding, I did get a baby grey about 2 weeks after macey died she is so lovely i adore her but she took to my mum because i had to move house to move to my new job. Where I live I cannot have a new bird because i work shifts It wouldnt be fair on the new baby. As much as I would have one tomorrow I fear I couldnt give it the same life although i have so much love to give it.

Hi Guys Just logging in to talk to those who might understand how im feeling. My baby grey died four months ago and Im still not over her. I miss her so badley that my heartbreak just wont mend. My parents adopted a baby grey just after i lost macey and i have since moved house. Macey is buried in my parents garden and I am miles away from her. I cant get over her. I miss her. I have pictures of her around my new house and I think about her everyday. I have no children of my own and she was my only baby. Will my feelings ever end. Lyndsey xx

Hi Guys Macey has been gone for two weeks now, my life is just not the same. I miss her everyday. We have since adopted a new baby (which i didnt want) but as soon as i saw her i fell in love with her. She will never replace my baby but she will bring joy to our hearts again. Cookie is coming home next week to live with us and I am so excited. The lady who has reared her lost one of her babies today, he had to go for an operation on his leg as it was broken in the nest. The operation was a success but he could not be brought round from the anesthetic. She is heart broken. Poor little thing. We named him Lego. He was so tiny and lovely. I feel bad for her. I will forward some pics of new cookie when I get some. xx

No Im sorry I never found out but our suspicions were with a new fire that we bought that we turned on for the first time the night before she got ill. I wish I had known, we have since had the fire destroyed.

Hi Guys The lady that has been rearing her sent some photos of her today she is so lovely and playful its hard not to like her, she is not naughty and loves to be cuddled and likes both males and females. The lady that has her has 7 greys and 2 mcaws all adopted that she has taken in because they have had bad homes she is an angel, she treats them all the same and they are so spoilt. She has no children and I think she treats them like her babies I have decided to call the new baby Cookie because she is so sweet what do u guys think. I will forward some photos as soon as I can. We cant bring her home for another 2 weeks but I will post some photos asap. xx

Macey was my pride and Joy anod NOTHING will replace her. Ever... I have never seen or touched a baby grey before I was so struck with this one. I know she will be loved in our home and I think Its time ALL my family got to feel what its like to love a grey not just me. x

Hey everyone....Most of you know I Lost my poor Macey a week yesterday. I have since laid her to rest and had a bird bath made to put in my garden with her name on it. My mum has since been trying to contact breeders who can help us with answers to our loss (our vet couldnt). She is such a lovely lady. She has 4 adult greys (all plucked that she has taken in) 3 babies and 3 macaws. She is an angel.....I went to see her today and she has a 12 week old grey who i saw. I didnt want to hold her but in the end I did. She is so lovley and playful and I feel bad that I have such heart break cos all she wanted to do was play..... she cuddled and kissed and wanted stroking and wanted to play for ages. I just felt so bad leaving her. My mum says they will buy her for our family and we can bring her home. Is it too soon as I am still dealing with my broken heart but when i saw this baby I knew I couldt leave her....what do i do?

I laid my grey to rest tonight....but i dont want her to be alone....im so sad right now....I cuddled her lots before i put her to rest....i told her how much i lovede her and that im her mummy and i will always be there x

Hi, they dont know. They did a blood test but still no results.

Hi guys, a few of you may know that my grey got ill last friday, she seemed to be getting better and was due home today. But last night she took poorly and died. Im so devastated I dont know what to do wih myself. Im heart broken.

Macey can come home .......woo hoo Just had a call from the vet she can come home tomorrow....Im excited to see her xxxx

hi guys, i have heard from the vet, he still has macey. she is doing well she has stopped being sick and has had something to eat. he is going to do a blood test on her today. He says her kidneys and intestines are working fine and her tummy ache seems to have gone a little, he says that she spoke a word the other night. I have cleaned maceys cage and toys ready for her return and cannot wait for her to come home I have missed her terribly.

Hey all, Matt called not long since, he says that he has put macey on a drip of glucose cose she was drinking put throwing it back up.....he has given her pain killers for her tummy and antibiotics just incase....he says she hasnt eaten but he as put her to bed and she seemed a little better. He is the most caring vet i have ever met.....I will post his details on this forum for future because he took my baby in ASAP he never hesitated one bit. i owe him for saving my babies life xxxxx Thanks you all for your kind words not sure when she will come home he is going to call me in the morning ...i miss her so badley xx

hey guys i took macey to the avian he was an hour and a half from where i live.....i cant believe there isnt one in the area, he is keeping her for a few days. he was really nice and he is going to help her ...im heart broken i want her well again. my poor little grey xx
