I have tried doing the same thing with my bird. She will eat a few and then won't eat anymore out of her owning me not me owning her. Funny how that works right? I make all the yummy sounds and even have to eat a bite before she will even taste it. She does love the nutriberrys. I am going to go to her doctor on this week and pick up the avian cakes that she would eat when she was there for a couple of days and I heard they were also fifty percent seed and pellet and mix in the pellets that way next. Were both getting impatient here me and my bird. Help

She also laid three eggs three weeks ago after 17 years. I took her in for a check up to make sure everything was alright and they gave her the avian cakes and the Harrisons for a couple of days and she ate the cakes but tossed the pellets. They wanted to see if she would watch the other birds there and pick up on it but no. If I make her scrambled eggs and crush some pellets in it she won't but take a bite and leave it. If their in a dish in the cage with other foods in other containers she will go up to the pellets and throw each one out to the bottom of the cage. thanks

Hi I adopted mine on a all sees diet so she is very spoiled. Someone told me to give her the avian cake and that it has pellet and seed in it and then sneak in the Harrison's which I've been using. Does that sound like an idea?

Hello and thanks for the advice. I have tried crushing,mashing and mixing the pellets in lot's of food. I have tried the apple juice also. If I act like I like them I can get her to eat around four a day. You were very lucky with your bird. How old is your Grey?

Hello I'm trying to get my Grey on Pellets and was wondering what seed is the best to mix in with the Harrison Pellets? We have been trying for awhile now to get on an all pellet diet besides fruits and veggies that she loves with little results. What do you think of the avian cakes? I know at the vets she went for the cakes when she was there and would only toss the pellets around. They hoped that she would watch the other birds that were eating the pellets and catch on but it really didn't help. Lot's of patience. I always think she's going to starve so I give in so many times. Please step in with advice.

THANK-YOU FOR TELLING ME NOT TO GIVE UP WITH THIS PELLET FOOD AND PUTTING THEM IN THE MANY DISHES THAT YOU MAKE FOR THE BIRDS IS VERY HELPFUL ALSO. I WILL TRY. you have been so helpful and your bird is still so young. When I got Sterling he was 12 and on a all seed diet. There was no veggies or fruit in his diet until I got him.Does your bird like baths? Where did you get the seeds at that you feed with the pellets? do you have to order them online? Thanks again

I'M A BIT CONFUSED KAYTEE HAS WEANING PELLETS? WHICH ONE DO GREYS LIKE BETTER THE KAYTEE WEANING PELLET OR THE ZUPREEM PELLETS. MY BIRD SEEMS TO KNOW TO KEEP AWAY FROM PELLETS SINCE THEY DON'T LOOK FAMILIAR TO HIM. I'VE EVEN TRYED EATING SOME IN FROUNT OF HIM YUMMY, YUMMY, YOU KNOW AND I HAVE EVEN TRYED TO FOOL HIM AND CRUSHED THEM UP AND THEN MIXED THEM IN SEED. BY THE WAY YOUR SITE IS COOL. I HAVE TRYED ROUDY BUSH, HARRISONS, BIG AND SMALL PELLOTS AND NOW I HAVE LAFEBER'S PREMINUM DAILY DIET FOR PARROTS. WHAT DO YOU THINK? HE WILL EAT THE LAFEERS NUTRA BERRIES REALLY WELL AND ALSO FRUIT AND VEGGIES. IS IT BAD TO JUST FEED THE LAFEBER'S NUTRI-BERRIES AND THA SEED HE'S BEEN ON IS NUTRIPHASE GOLD SO SHOULD I MIX THEM TOGETHER?
