  2. The weather in Orlando was 48 and i had my breeders out side with eggs Do you think the eggs are ok! i coverd the cage and they where in the box all night. this morning i went out there to feed them and the male was fine. the female never comes out anymore. I'm just wondering?
  3. Well She did lay 3 eggs. I breed african ring necks before but that was it. I took the pair to the vet and he told me that both of them at in good shape. I'm going to give the babies to a friend of mine when they hatch she been doing this for over 5 year and told me that she would be able to handle it. SO after i pull the babies i'm going to take out the box for a few months until i do my homework.
  4. They eat toher veg. too and they love apples. eggs but not too much on the rice. My female is spending more and more time in the box she only comes out when i changing the food and water but as soon as i go back in side she goes back in the box. i really don't want to check the box to see if she layed anything. I would want to wait about another week or so.

  6. I have a proven pair of greys. And every time i take a look at them the male is the only on in the next box and the females spend most of her time out the nest box. Also when i go to feed them the male goes to bite me every time he does not want me any where by the cage. I seen the female try to breed with the male about a week ago. I'm sure the they done it be for i just haven't seen them. i try not to be around them to much. I should also let you guys know that i just got this pair about 3 weeks ago.
  7. Thanks for the warm Welcome! I've breed conures before and ringnecks. I wasn't ready for a african greys but i had idea that this was going to happen. The lady next door to me had to move in the last minutes and gave all her breeder birds aways. So hear i'am with a very nice proven breeding pair of greys!!:woohoo: :woohoo: Now what? SO i put them in a 3x3x5 cage feeding them zurpeem and seed mix, apples, oranges, and rice, and soem vegs. Now they just layed eggs right before she gave them to me and she keeped them. I figure that alone will strees them out. but i keep them out side. and it's like 50 this morning. sould i put a heat lamp for them? i cover them up at night also. But that is what i'm up too now
  8. I have them in a 3x3x5 breeder cage and i do have pylwood on the top of the cage and i coverd it last night with a sheet to block the wind. Oh and there is a next box that they can go in to. So i guess that there ok then.

They are a breeding pair that I'm sure of i know a few people that have gotten baby's from her. She gave them to me because she could no longer keep them where she is living. Now for the good part. right before she gave them to me she told me that they had eggs in the box. i seen them she layed three eggs. so she keep the eggs that gave me the pair. she had them out side and now there in side the house. in the garage. nice a quiet. The cage i put them in is 3x3x5. But since day one that she gave them to me the male has been plucking? I want to know if there something i can do. I'm trying no to stress them out i go in the room only 2 time a day morning and in the afternoon. I'm feeding them Carrot's Apples, not to much seeds. eggs rice. Can you help!
