Still has alot of babytalk...but his favorite clear words are kiss, scratch,Simba,Hey Simba,NO Simba, I love you, Hello, Watcha doin, and a whole lot of mumba jumba. I love him so so much. I am so proud of him. He has came a long way...And he even has a tail now. He still plucks alittle but nothing like how he used to when he was at that god awful pet shop! He knows how to play dead. When I hold him i will shoot him and he will fall bckwards until I say Good Boy! Its so cute. One of the pictures shows him doing it. 2. Simba is on Zupreem Avian Maintenece. I noticed the other day he was taking a pellet at a time and dropping it into his water. Then he would he leave his head down in the water bowl for a second then he would pick the pellet back up and eat it...So wierd! Does anyone elses bird do this? Sure explains why there is so many pellets in his water when I change it. lol.

  6. Bringing him home I was so mervous I barely even knew how to hold him the right way...but he taught me everything I needed to know and more. He is my best friend and goes everywhere with me. I love him so so much. He is starting to talk a lot. He tells me hello in the sweetest voice everytime I walk up to him. He is spoiled rotton. But he deserves it...I'm just glad to have gotton him out of that petshop. That was no life for him. 7. I have been ginving him many things to tear up. I made him some toys out of cardboard, qtips, and leather. He LOVES them. He is still plucking tho. Maybe he just needs some time to settle in. He has 2 tail feather spouts. lol. I hope he doesnt pluck them out.
  8. I scared to let him have much...I dont really know what is safe.
  9. Well I brought him home Friday...and he has did very well adjusting to me. He did alot better than I thought. I didnt think I would even be able to handle him at all for awhile. But he will sit on the bed with us for hours and watch TV. and he will wonder around trying to get into eveything he can find. He really seems fairly happy. But as soon as I put him on top of his playstand on in his cage he will start plucking. I figured he would probably pluck bad when I first brought him home but I feel like im should be doing something to keep him from doing it. But I cant make him stay with me all day. He loves to sit on his play stand. He usually climbs up there his self. Is there anything you guys recommend I could get him to keep him occupied...Toys...ect? He really loves to destroy things...I know that. He has some toys in his cage now that came out of his cage at the store. But I never see him play with them. any advice will be much apprieciated. Thanks, Kelly and Simba
  10. Its... Parrot Cage Dimensions: 24" W x 20" D x 60" H (overall) 34" Interior Height 3/4" Bar spacing He def. isnt going to be in it very often tho. I always forget to take pictures when I have him out at the store. Im just to excited to remember. In the future he will be getting a much bigger cage. I already know which one I want....just gotta save for it. Here is the link to it. http://birdcages4less.com/page/B/PROD/Large_Bird_Cages/PA5745
  11. Hey guys! I went to see Simba agian last night...He looks alot better. Still waiting on some tail feathers to start growing. Sometimes I feel like he hates me..but I think its because he isnt used to me. Because he lets the workers at the petstore kiss all over him and scratch his head. Sometimes he will give me a kiss and let me pet him but sometimes he gets mad. I just cant wait to bring him home so we can be BESTFREINDS! lol. But I got my cage and brought it home and got it all set up. (Right beside my bed!) I cant wait to bring him home. It isnt gonna be too much longer. Here is a picture of the cage I got...What do you guys think?
  12. Thank You...So is all the scruffy looking feathers because he is molting...or is that from plucking?
  13. Here is a link to some pictures from the store. They arent great but he is my new baby! How long do you think it will take for his tail to grow? http://community.webshots.com/album/570161966YYxOOp
  14. Here is a link to the pictures: http://community.webshots.com/album/570161966YYxOOp His name is Simba. When we decided to buy him they asked us what we wanted to name him and they put a sticker on his cage that says "My name is Simba" I was so excited!
  15. Well he doesnt have any raw spots anywhere else. But on his back and belly there is like shaggy feathering. I guess. I dont really know how to explain it. Is that from molting or plucking?
