1. Are there any concerns of any sicknesses that can be passed on these play dates?
2. I have yet to place the food dishes but Noodles has a great time. I borrowed the idea from another grey forum member. Thanks. Uhh it looks like I am still learning to paste pictures. I will get them on soon. Post edited by: pionexx21, at: 2009/02/03 02:17

Post edited by: pionexx21, at: 2009/02/03 02:33
3. Last week we went with Noodles to have her second test performed for PBFD. After a week of agonizing anticipation we received the results.... The test came back negative. Our little bappie made it thorugh this ordeal and is now very healthy and happy. thanks to all the support!!
4. Is it possible that we will see skewed statistics due to the fact that we are on a forum? I would say those who spend time reading forum posts are more actively engaged in their greys life. In my opinion the lack of attention is a part of the desire for greys to pluck.
5. Thus the time of season we pulled out our decorations and found our cinnamon scented pine cones. Are these going to be a problem with our little cag? Any help would be great!
6. The store had given me a verbal that if we choose to bring back Noodles there will be a full refund. Now of course that does not make it any easier but our Vet Dr. Echols has asked that we not make any moves until the second test. He explained that it is was a low level positive. He said in his experience we may have a fighter who has a chance to beat it. We will continue to give Noodles the best life we can and if fate takes her in another direction we will go from there. We have another appt for a test in 60-90 days scheduled and we will let you know the results. Thanks for the feedback and support it has been much appreciated. Here is a great link that explains the procedure. http://vetdna.com/pbfd.htm
7. The standard procedure is to wait for another 90 days and test her again. It sounds like since she is young her chance of beating it are slim.
8. I just received a phone call from my Avian Vet who informed me that our new CAG we brought home one week ago came up positive for beak and feather disease. Our Vet Dr. Nichols called the pet store to inform them of the situation. I do know that these tests are extremely sensative and can be faulty. How do we handle this with the pet store? Do we continue to pay the extreme vet bills? Please, any advice would be great.
9. Thanks for the help, I have been looking into those and they look great! Thanks.B)
10. I am wondering if my baby Noodles is having an identity crisis. When it becomes late in the evening she looks for any dark hole she can hide in. For example, if we are on the sofa doing homework or watching T.V. she will jump off my lap and run over to the nearest pillow or blanket and crawl under. She finds herself quite content if I put a blanket over her while she is laying on my chest. So, last night I decided to make her feel comfortable. I used a towel and a perch to rig up a lean to and she went right in and did not come out until this morning. Should this be a concern of mine or do you think she feels she is back in the nest? Does anyone have any similar experiences?
11. A friend of mine has a Crane that I fell in love with whose name was Noodles. this bird was incredible! He thought that he was a dog and would often run side by side with its four legged friends. Noodles the Crane stole my heart and only one other bird has done the same to me so far and that is our baby grey, Noodles. The weaning process was not incredibly long. She came home this last Friday and was born 6-21-08. The avian vet said she was a smaller grey at 285 grams and we are waiting on the test results for her. She seems to be very healthy but still nervous. When others have gone in for tests did you find it neccesary to have all the tests done including beak and feather?
12. Baby Noodles has made it home to her parronts after what seemed like a terribly long weaning process. Little Noodles had to perch at the top of her cage although we set all of her perches low. Noodles loves shower time but thinks she has to drink all the water before it hits her feathers. We are loving Noodles and excited to be apart of the group!:cheer:
