1. Hi Tammy, glad you and Jim Bob have joined the family. Can't wait to hear about the games you and Jim Bob play, if you would like to share them with us. If you have any pictures to share, we would love to see them.

I believe that is the turkey. Is it okay to give your grey an M&M?
3. How I wish my Ana Grey didn't go to the floor! She was clipped when I got her a month ago and she always wants to follow me so as soon as I move, down to the floor she goes. I have a pug, I don't believe Lily will hurt her, but I'm not going to take the chance. Ana will walk after me so I also fear stepping on her. I can't wait until she can fly and because she is always trying to (another reason she is always on the floor, she drifts down), I believe she can't wait until she can fly also. I have perches all over the house and carry her there when I am in that specific area and so when she can fly, she will know where to land, hopefully. Welcome to the family Meli_melz, if you have any pictures of Oliver you would like to share, we would sure love to see them!!
4. Good going Tango!!! This is a great photo, thanks for sharing it, you look so happy!!!
5. Congratulations Sheila on Liverpool's accomplishment. If I get to England again, I will certainly come check out St George's Hall.
6. Tonka is an adorable puppy. Hopefully, Malibu and he will learn to love each other. Glad you got your old user name back. Enjoy your new baby. Just saw Malibu's picture. Looks like Malibu enjoys broccoli!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/01/11 05:37

African Grey parrots are found in west and central Africa from Sierra Leone east to Cameroon, including Zaire, Uganda, West Kenya and northwest Tanzania, as well as on the Sesse islands in Lake Victoria. African Grey parrots can be found in primary and secondary lowland rainforests, also forest edges and clearings, gallery forests, and other wooded riverine habitats. What is the US national bird?
8. So glad to hear Harry is doing well. He was very lucky and you are very fortunate to have loving and caring people in the village, who cared and return Harry is such good fashion. I love happy endings!!! Thanks for sharing this happy story with us.
9. Glad to hear Whisper is in tiptop shape, it goes to show what a great mom he has. Congratulations!!!
10. Hi Jennifer, welcome to the family. Wow, since you have had Moe for 17 years, you must have a lot of great stories to tell us about this fantastic grey. We are a very willing audience and would like to see any pictures you have that you would like to share.
11. Thank you for sharing this experience with us, Dan. Thank God, it is a learning experience and not a tragedy, Professor McQ. If I were in your place, I'd be getting Dayo a big helping of his favorite treat and Kim a dozen red roses for the heartbreak that was by the Grace of God diverted!! Hugs and kisses to all of you.
12. So glad you are home, Kim. Good thoughts for everything to go smoothly from now on. Big hugs and kisses for both you and Dan. Enjoy the love, warmth and comfort being with family always provides. Remember, we are here for you.
13. Hi, congratulations on your baby Alfie. I am a new grey owner also and find that Ana Grey uses her beak to help to get purchase when she is stepping up. She isn't trying to bite just uses her beak to get balance, if she clamps down a little too hard I say no bites and she let's up. If you have any pictures of Alfie to share, we would love to see them.
14. Hi Titch and welcome to the family. You sound like a fun loving guy and I'll just bet you are going to be a kick in the pants kind of guy for our family. So do you have a grey in mind or are you still looking; and is it going to be a Congo or a Timneh, a baby or an older grey?
15. Hi Louise, welcome to the family. Casper is very lucky to have such a loving owner. Karma to you for taking in an older grey. I am a baby grey owner, so I have no knowledge about re-homing greys. If Casper is backing away and growling I can only assume he is still leery of his situation. I do like the idea of trying to handfeed him his favor treat and talking to him. I too would leave the cage door open to see if he will come out. Since he has been in a cage for 16 years I don't think he can fly very well and if he is in a closed area he can't go far. Patience is the key. If you have any pictures, we would love to see them.
16. Pet Solutions has an EZ Care Playtop Bird Cage for $299. I have one and find it easy to clean as the whole front opens up.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/01/11 02:05
17. Hi Robert, welcome to the family. You have come to the right place for answers around greys. Just ask and some of our more experienced grey owners will be around to help you out. I'm curious about your Avatar too, it is quite interesting!
18. Hi Stewart, welcome to the forum. Please tell us more about your African greys, or are you just researching. A little more background please. If you are an grey owner, we would love to see some pictures.
19. Lisa, great picture and a very nice memory. I have read Alex and Me and enjoyed it. I am thinking about reading The Alex Studies, but haven't acquired the book yet. Thanks for sharing the picture.
20. Great pictures of your Three Musketeers, Caroline. They are certainly handsome guys!!
21. Thank you Penny for posting this link. Karma to you for caring. Can't wait to see your update.
22. Hey David, loved Shanti's pictures, thanks for sharing them with us. I've had my baby Ana Grey for 5 weeks now and I am still thrilled every day. There is so much to learn about her and so much that she is still learning. It is fantastic!!
23. Hi Eve, welcome back. I love Lilo's Avatar. My grey just learned to let me hold her like that, I think it's so very cute. You must have a ton of stories to tell us about Lilo and I can't wait to hear them.
24. Great net James, I sense a Boy Scout among us. Good looking knots. As a grey owner who purchased a cargo net for much more than $20, I can assure you, you do good work. Thanks for sharing your finished product with us.
25. Happy Birthday Kim!!! Both of you hang in there and know I wish only the best for you both. My thoughts and prayers are going up on your behalf. God Bless.
