  1. Mine always went for the high ground. I took all height advantages away. He has been much more playfull and interactive since then.
  2. Yea, mine ignores its toys until there is someone home. He will then go crazy and start swining around - making noise. Same thing when I put him in the cage at night.
  3. I'm real excited! He also says 'grapes' all the time. I just wish they weren't so shy about it.
  4. I have been trying to catch my grey saying hello on video now for about a week. He seems to only talk when I'm busy doing something, its a bit noisy, or if I'm walking away. Well today while cleaning his cage I got him. Not the clearest hello but he's only 3 months and 6 days old. You may have to turn up your volume a bit and listen for it @ the 5 second mark. 5. Here is a picture of my cage. It comes with a 2 foot ladder that stands up on the right side and you can attach a toy from but I took it down because my baby would go up there all the time and didn't like coming down. Not bad for $230 shipped off ebay I'm debating on getting the matching perch. I also included a picture of what it looks like with a ladder (not my cage). Links below. 6. Thanks guys & gals! Sounds like my baby is starting to say 'hello' Said it a few times this morning in a sick sounding/muffled voice haha!
  7. Thanks, I posted links to pictures at the bottom of my first post. I have tried everything to get them to work. Still not working! Maybe someone can PM me the secret ways
  8. I'm very excited I came accross this site. I have already found tons of useful information! Well after growing up with my dads CAG it was time for me to get my own. I found a good breeder near Atlanta and purchased one as soon as it was born. Finally after it was weaned I was able to pick him/her up Friday. So far everything is going well! Anyways just saying hi, and will see you all around the forums! Since I can't figure out how to post the pictures then here are the links to the pictures Yes I have tried resizing them under 500x500, and even tried photobucket - not working. Here they are in original size! http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=eatinggrapeog5.jpg http://img20.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fullcageandbirdnd2.jpg http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=insideofcageto3.jpg<br><br>Post edited by: Doostur, at: 2008/09/09 23:08
  9. My baby is 3 months old. He seems to hate being in his/her cage. As soon as I go anywhere near the cage door he is there waiting, and when it opens he shoots for the top with no stopping him. He's got a large cage (30x24x30) with plenty of toys. I am home most the day so when I get up I usually open the door for him and he sits out pretty much all day and put him inside at around 9. When inside he'll usually climb around the cage all noisey and bite the cage making loud noises. He usually settles down within 5-10 minutes and sits on the same perch and rarely move, for the most part ignoring his toys. My question is, am I spoiling him by having him out of the cage so much? Should I keep him in more? How long should I let him out for?<br><br>Post edited by: Doostur, at: 2008/09/09 19:10
