2. printers working again now.
3. guess what,it was raining ,how unusual. It has been a lovely evening though, sunny and warm.
4. Yes, people probabley think I am ott with my birds but I realy dont care that much. The way I see it is that I am a far richer person, a far better person for sharing my life with a parrot. I am without doubt a happier person. You know what,if people dont understand the love and devotion you can give a pet, they are missing out on so much.
5. I love this Dave, keep it up.
6. Dave, thats fantastic.I love it. Thank you.I have just had a go at printing it but guess what, the printer is not playing.I hate wireless printers.

Post edited by: she, at: 2009/07/02 21:47
7. Liverpool uk has been very very hot and sunny. Its been around 29-30 hear today.I work in a food factory driving a flt and the heat in there has been horrendus. Dont forget we have very large ovens and a glass roof. Oh and not a sign of a/c.
8. I get the 5lb bag.It is stored in the fridge and I find it keeps ok .Harrisons recomend the adult lifetime for tiels once they are used to pellets.
9. Judy, what an amazing heaven for birds. It must have been a great day. It is heart warming when you hear of a sanctury like that and the wonderful people who do so much to help birds who in most cases have not had a happy life. Those birds are really making up for lost time.

Weight issues

Hi.I would have a check up with an avian vet who will advise on diet. From the diet you feed , I would increase the pellets so they are always available and feed other food twice daily.Go easy on the cheese and chicken, give plenty of pasta and rice and maybe add some healthy nuts such as almonds and pine nuts, that is the diet my grey is fed.An avian vet will be able to give you more detailed diet advise and check your grey out. Scales I use a digital kitchen scale that measures in gramms. It is just a flat scale and does a good job and was not expensive.

Post edited by: she, at: 2009/07/01 19:42
11. I am interested Dave. My birds names are Charlie, my grey and Cracker my tiel.
12. I must agree that the little birds are so much harder.Cracker can be a right demon. My hands have been torn up by him on more than one occasion. He is not too bad at the moment though. When he decides to have a go at me he means it.The same bird will sit cuddled in to my neck and beg for head scratches,it is so strange.I have to put it down to hormones,I cant find another reason.
13. Well said Dave.Charlie has done countless pounds worth of damage round the house and although I love him to bits and he is hear to stay, greys or any large bird are not for the house proud. I did a LOT of research before I got Charlie so had an idea what was to come, it is hard work.
14. I have an alarm system at my house. I am very against guns, they have caused so much heart break in my city .
15. Thats great news.I am glad you are enjoying the job.
16. Your little grey baby is so cute.
17. My two get a bath in the kitchen sink and both lift up their wings and enjoy it.
18. Charlie has only screamed like that once, when he injured his wing.
19. Congratulations Janet, and also to the new parents.Prayers have been sent and will continue to be.Deno sounds like he is in the best handsand getting the best of care.Best wishes sheila
