Hi and welcome.January is a brilliant time to get your grey.Christmas and all its hussle and bussle is over and you can concentrate on your new baby grey.He is gorgeous.
Compute princess or Geri, It does not matter. All that matters is that this site has helped countless greys and owners and done much to improve the lives of companion greys from all over the world.Thank you, whoever kicked it all off. Also thank you to the people who keep it all ticking over.
You have had him a month now and I think he is becoming more independant. Just open the cage and let him go in and out as he wishes. Dont force the issue with the stick. Will he step on to your hand?if not that is the thing to work on.
I have my two on Harrisons, I believe it to be a great pellet and with the added fruit and veg I give them they get all they need. I am happy to pay the extra money knowing how good the harrisons is.
Great news David. His flights will improve with strength and practice.Dans idea of target flights is a good one and will help teach Shanti control.

Post edited by: she, at: 2009/11/28 20:55
Thanks everyone. He is as well as can be so Maybe like a toddler I need to keep him awake in the day lol.Seriousley I cant find anything to wake him up .I will just see if I can find any patern to it,times days ect.
yes greys can have a problem with salmonella. It is very important to keep cages very clean.I personally dont allow the birds close when I am preparing or cooking food for both hygiene and safety reasons and have an antibacterial hand wash in the kitchen which I use often.

Post edited by: she, at: 2009/11/28 06:58
I have had Charlie 6 years now and he is 7 years old in March or round about, not really sure of his age.The problem is the last few weeks he has been banging his toys round in the middle of the night. This is something he has never done and is always quiet as a mouse once he is covered and everything settles down for the night.I have checked and nothing at all has changed.I dont want to get up when he does this to check on him incase he catches on to it and does it all the more .I did get up when he first done it once and all was fine.Any advise would be very welcome.
I am so glad Paco got a clean bill of health.Just watch his weight.I would have let rip at the dog owner.I have nbo patiance with people who are insensitive to animals.I had a good laugh at the vet having to kiss Paco,he is a brave vet.
