remedy

hello i have a two year old parrot called joey, we think he is male but are not 100%. he keeps shredding the paper in the bottom of the cage.he has done this twice in two weeks now and i'm not sure why. could any one please give any info? many thanks carl and joey

hello every one my 2 year old grey needs his claws cut ive had him less than a week and he is very nervous. he is very slowly geting used to me but we are no where near the phisical touching bond yet and if i try to put him in a cat box he will go mental and i do not want any set backs because we are only just connecting, do you think i should wait alot longer, until he will be ok to get in the cat box?

thank you for your advise i will treat him with care and respect he seems to be quieting down each day already and is making a few new quiet noises and whistles wich is good in just 4 days. also he is taking treats from my hand but throwing them straight on the floor but i will keep the same routine up with him for a few weeks he is in our living room but there are only 2 of us that live there and it is not to busy

i just got my first african grey 3 days ago (joey) he is about 2 years old. every time i go near him he squawks at me even sometimes when i walk past his cage, i know i have to gain his trust and this is going to take a long time until this happens and i can do that. just want to know if any one can help me so i can get him to stop squawking and settle him as i know he is nervous with a new cage , home and humans many thanks carl
