  1. Thank you BaxtersMom. Yes, it is devasting to see this little girl doing this to herself. I have gone over and over and over again the day's events prior to this past Wednesday and can not for the life of me think of anything that has changed. She has plenty of toys of all kinds to meet her different needs, a lot of one on one when we get home from work and outside cage time. This is going to drive me crazy. I need to help her. Please some feedback on this:woohoo:
  2. My CAG, Gracie, is only 9 months old. I sure that if anyone has a grey that feather plucks knows just how upsetting this is. If only I could fiqure out what set her off. Please if anyone has some info on this please write me. Thanks Mary
  3. OMG! I can not believe that my Cag plucked her tail feathers off in one day. I came home from work to find my little girl with no tail. I immediately called my vet and took her in to be told that she was healthy and could not find anything wrong. She is now starting on her chest feathers! I have no idea what happened. There has been no change what so ever. Has anyone else had this happen or can give some help in what is happening? HELP:woohoo: Mary
  4. Thanks Dave, You sure do know your stuff on air purifiers! You just saved me some money and being around the holidays I sure do appreciate it. Thank you again. Again the people in this forum are worth their weight in gold. Have a Happy Holiday:) Mary
  5. Judy is right, thank you so much. Could you tell me why you should turn off the Ionizer option. Thanks Mary
  6. Thanks Judy I will give it a shot. I was hoping though that someone that was using one could give me what they found to work the best. You know "first hand" experience. Mary
  7. Hello Everyone, Does anyone know if you can have an air purifier in the same room as your greys? We had to move our birds into one room and now it's a little much in one room. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Mary
  8. Thank you so much for your input on this. My husband was right it was a crazy thing to even consider. You are all right on this one. I really didn't think this one out enough:( Thank you from myself and most importantly my birds{Feel-good-000200BB}
  9. Okay well I tried to upload some pictures on my profile and no can do. Maybe I'll just drop the whole idea and put them out in their cages. Thanks guy
  10. Okay I will try to take a picture that will show you all. I'm not sure though how to include it in my post. If someone would let me know I will go and take a picture now.
  11. Oh goosh Dave007:woohoo: The complete back of our house has a screened pool enclosure. They could not get out and fly away. I'm sorry I didn't explain the situation correctly. If they were to get frighten and tried to fly would they be able to not fall in the pool below? The enclosed pool enclosure would be like a big aviary with palm trees and everything. I'm just scared of that darn pool.
  12. Hi Everyone Here goes another one of my crazy questions:) We live in a two story stilt home on the west coast of Florida right on the water. We have a large pool enclosure that covers the back of the house all the way to the top of our roof. Our top back porch looks down over the pool. Do you think I can put my birds out on this porch on their stands instead of in their cages. I really want to let them enjoy the beautiful weather without being in their cages. I am afraid that with their wings clipped that if they try to fly they will hurt themselves and land in the pool or something. My husband thinks I'm crazy. What are your thoughts on this:huh:
  13. Thanks again everyone:) This makes me feel much better{Feel-good-000200BB} This forum has always been there for me and is much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Hi Everyone, I have another question about my CAG. I have been noticing that she bites her nails often. Is this a sign that she is nervous,uncomfortable, or unhappy? Need some advise on this one. Neither my caique or my TAG have done this, need some help please:blush: mary
  15. Hey Big_Squishy, that is great that you are able to feed BoBo like that. I wish I was able to be home with my birds and dogs 24/7. Oousp! and hubby:laugh: but I own a child care center that has me there early to late and then on call if I am needed. As far as her being bored, she has several toys in her cage but has not learned how to play with them yet so maybe you could be right;)
