Hey everyone, I am in need of advice with my grey, COCO… I introduced him a few months ago when we moved into my new apt and he was freaked out… Well he is very much back to his old self again… and talking even more… but also making a lot of noise (ringing like the phone, biting on his cage) and my neighbors are starting to complain… I’m not sure what to do as far as keeping him from screaming… I never covered his cage in the night and wondering if this is something I should consider… He is 13 yrs old now… Any help or advice would be great… Thanks, Nerissa

Hey everyone, Just wanted to give you an update on Coco... He is adjusting much better now... He climbed down from the top of the cage and is eating and drinking again... He still not 100% comfortable but is almost there... Thanks again for all your help and advice..

Hello all, I'm new to this site... My name is Nerissa and I have a Congo African Grey named Coco... He will be 13 years old on July 31... My parents bought him for me when I was younger from a breeder here in NY.... Coco is a very calm loving bird... Doesn't talk that much but says few words here and there and whistles and makes other sounds... I will have to post some pictures of him..

Thank you all for your responses... Unfortunately I do not have the old cage... but I will leave him to take his time and get adjusted to his new cage and surroundings... Dave - thanks for the great advice and i'm sure you are right that he will eat and drink when he's ready...

Hi, I moved my 13 year old African grey, COCO, into a new cage in my new apt and now he is traumatized, I think?? He will not climb down and sit on his perch or eat or drink... He is only holding on to the top of cage and really wouldn't move just hangs there in one area... I don't know what to do but I am very worried about him... Any suggestions or advice would greatly be appreciated...
