    Hi I have COPD I need to get dusty my Gray out side as I don't want to get rid of him because I have a lung disease Can any body give me any advice on Avery and how to look after greys outside
  2. Hi all just to tell you how I am getting on with Dusty the only thing he will take from me are small bits of cheese. I have tried Pistachio, Cashew and Almonds nuts so far but he just throws them to the floor I am will carry on tying him on different tip bit as I don't think cheese will be very Good for him and not had much time for him as I spent a week in hospital Ron

  5. how do I gain his trust if he wont take treats I don't no what to do now do you know of an iristable treat Thanks Ron
  6. dusty is 3 years old we had him from 6 weeks old we went on holiday for 2 weeks in may this year he went to a pets centre with two other parrots and he been there before with no trouble Thanks Dave for your quick reply Ron

Dusty my Gray he wont do any thing I ask he wont take any food fruit or treats from my hand he will go in his cage by him self, rather than have me put him in it he flies on my shoulder only to bite me I cant find a treats to temp him with I think if I found a treat that he could not resist i would be able to train him he likes apples and grapes but he wont take them from me but if I put them in the cage he will go in and get them, if I leave the room Dusty was OK till we went on a holiday How do I get on right side of him if he wont take a treats

    My Gray dusty has the spare room as an Avery he has been in there since Feb and been good as gold but now he has started to chew the window frame How can I stop this I don't want to shut him in his cage while I am not there Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated Ron

  12. hi can I tell you about our CAG we called him dusty and he lives up to his name we got him in April he is 10 mouths old he loves his food he eats most of the veg that we eat and will try any thing now, he likes tea and toast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and veg or rice for tea as well as his normal seed and fruit diet his favoured reward is cheese savouries biscuits he hasn't stared talking yet but he trying hard to talk we let him fly all over the house and the computer room is a sort of Avery, and wont keep of the furniture, he is lots of fun and we love him to bits dusty lets us both stroke him he dos not bite any more

  14. what age do gray start to talk our CAG is 9 mouths old Dusty makes lots of noise wolf wistle, sirens, awl, quack and screeches dont no where he picked the sounds up form exeped the wolf wistle can any one recomed a video or book to help me teach dusty to talk This is my first parrot so I need all the help I cam get Ron
