Like everyone has suggested ---Time and Patience. And gentle and kind..Never show frusteration..Just back away and try again later..Always use a soothing gentle voice..After awhile you should notice very slight changes at first..Always let her come to you ..Use lots of praise..I know you will do just fine.. There are so many old songs that I love .. One of my favoutites has got to be Moon River.That is the song my hubby and I danced to after we were married so It will always remain special to me.. Another is "It had to be you" Sunshine

Thank you all for your Welcome.. Sorry I did not add anymore about myself and my CAG CoCo.. I did write abit in my Profile!! I got CoCo as a rescue 3 yrs ago..She had had 2 owners already, hence she is a very nervous bird and not totally tame..She is about 11 years old now .. She has an issue with trust so helping her is a long ardous task..but we love her very much and will do what it takes.. I have always been a bird lover but truthfully never graduated from a Budgie.. I am a Senior and live with my husband in Canada.. I am enjoying reading all of your articles and getting to know you and your 'greys" Again thanks for having me in your group.. Sunshine

If not getting a response when biting ,how may I ask are our birds going to learn that biting is a no no. I pull my hand back and say no no ..."bad bird" CoCo know what this means and is getting better as far as biting is concerned.. Please exclaim why no reaction(when biting)is the way to go.. It has been established that these are very intelligent birds and I can't understand why no reaction when biting is teaching them anything... Sunshine

My CoCo will try anything that is "warm"..It does not seem to matter what veggie it is ---as long it is warm.. The same goes for drinks..She loves anything warm Sunshine

My Grey loves any warm food so naturally she loves warm tea--no milk..I don't think the occasional sip will hurt.. She even asks me for a cup of tea..As soon as she hears the kettle boil she starts to ask me for tea..:lol: Sunshine.. (Hello all, I am from Canada)
