Thanks for your replies, how often do you let your grey out and what do you do with your dogs?

Hi Everyone, I have had Rex for 7 weeks,he is 5 months old, he is just like a 1 year old child, i have to keep telling him off for doing things he shouldnt. He is also very clever, learning the adams family tune in 2 days, he says hello, good boy, what are you doing, step up, and tries to mimic the telephone ring. He is so much more than i expected a grey to be, he is my baby.

My son tries his best with Rex, he talks, sings to him, gives him treats,toys to play with but as soon as my son has nothing to give him he does not like it, if my son puts his hand out to scratch Rex he will attack, my son does pull his hand back quickly as he has been bitten twice before, he is petrified really but wants so much to play with Rex. If my son is sitting next to me and his head lowers Rex will lunge at him, Rex occassionaly lands on my sons head but as soon as he realises where he has landed he is off in a shot.

Rex is 5 months old, we have had him 7 weeks,we also have a boxer who is soft as muck, but when we let rex out of his cage poor buster gets locked out of the room, Buster is 5 yrs old and usually is so soft and placid, but when it comes to being next to rex he shakes, drools, licks his lips and sits staring at rex. When Rex flies the dog jumps up and tries to catch him, Rex is fine with the dog. what can i do, i feel really awful having to lock the dog away from all his family? Has anyone else had similar problems.

Hi My african grey is great with myself, he lets me do anything with him, he tolerates my partner, but my son who is 10 , rex wont let him near him, he fluffs his feathers up, tries to bite him and even chases him, what can i do? My son is very upset.

My african is 5 months old, his feathers on top are fine, tail feathers a little split, but underneath they are soft and look all matted together (dont even look like feathers) is this his baby feathers? is this normal? He doesnt like baths, showers or even the mist spray.

My african has 313 on his ring, no letters, what does his mean?
