Thanks guys! I have tried a harness on him (its one from Petsmart for birds) but none of them seem to fit him right. So I passed and didn't buy any. When I got him from the breeders, she clipped some of his wings, but realized when I got him home, he can still fly some. What I have been doing when I do take him outside with me is hold his feet. He was on the shoulder for a few quick pictures.. he seemed really secure next to us on our shoulder so I wasnt too worried about him flying off...I would like to get a harness though, so I will take down recommendations and try some out

Sorry I have been inactive. It's been hectic with school being out, and we just moved from Texas to Oklahoma city! Anyhow, Ace is doing great. He is an awesome bird, Im going to post a few photos as well I have a question though. This morning Ace was acting kinda, odd. He flew to me (normal) and then started making all these weird quiet, but fast paced noises, and his wings were dropped really low. Pretty much all the way relaxed, and he kept rubbing his face all over me. The best way to describe it was he was , nervous. Then he started bobbing his head back and to the side some, I thought he had maybe eatin too fast or too much and he was choking, but he brought food back up! He did this a few times, I know birds can regurgitate , but he is only 4 months old, I would think he is too young to do that, if indeed, that is what he is doing. Anyone have any idea what or why he was acting this way? Here are a few recent photos of me and Ace <br><br>Post edited by: AshleyKay, at: 2008/08/02 16:20

Ace isant very "loud" persay, but he does get vocal. He is only 4 months old though, so Im not sure how much that will change as he gets older. I have four kids, and our house gets quite busy and loud at times, so Im suprised I haven't heard him getting loud. He doesnt scream or screech, but definately is testing his voice and trying out sounds. A friend of ours is staying with us and just commented the other day about him saying "I swear that bird picks up a new sound every day"

Thanks guys, for the input. Is there a particular disinfectent you would recommend? I assume ths would be great to use for regular cleanings as well?

I dont have him yet. He should be weaned in late July, possibly early August. I definately will be buying more than one cage. I think this one would be perfect for out on the back deck, but I would use it for his "main" cage in the living room until I got a larger playtop. If hubby and I do decide to get this one, weather it be the one we put Ace in until we get the playtop, or weather its to put out on the back deck, is there anything I should ask about it? I asked if there was any rust or coating coming off..i wasnt sure what else I should ask tho.

Congrats on your new baby, and Im glad you found a new home that *clicked* well for the other CAG I think the name in consideration is nice, and as long as you like it is all that matters. Personally, I think its a cool name

So, I was going to buy a new cage for my TAG. THe one I was wanting is about 300 dollars on ebay. I found this one on craigslist though for 100.00 Money is a little tighter than I expected this month but I found this one for 100, that I could definately get. Thing is, it's not a playtop and its a bit smaller than I wanted. I planned on buying another cage for the upstairs living room though anyway, as well for one on our back covered deck. Could this cage be okay for a few months until I buy a bigger one? http://austin.craigslist.org/pet/681889113.html I emailed and asked for the measurements, and they are "approximately 60" (H) x 30" (W) x 24" (D)" I am thinking this is bare minimal for a cage for a tag, so it should be fine. I really want a playtop tho, but as I said, I do plan on purchasing another cage eventually anyway. Any thoughts? And anything I should ask/watch out for with buying a used cage? Thanks guys...

That is great to hear, and such an added bonus for only a dollar. I am going to have to check out our dollar store. I plan on using baby toys for Ace when we get him. I have a two year old and a 8 month old which Im already putting their toys aside in a "bird box" instead of donating them this time around I hope my grey enjoys some of them as much as your bird does the ducky toy

That is good to hear. I feel confident that she is take the best care of my little guy and only wants the best for him... I know it will be worth the wait judygram wrote:
