Has anyone gotten DNA results from a feather? The one site offers blood or feather testing. I like the idea of feather better because I don't want to hurt my new baby. Any thoughts?
My baby grey is only 9 weeks old. I am hand feeding her and maybe jumped into getting her a bit too quickly since she is so young but hind sight is always better, right? Any how, she has a soft spot on one side of her neck that is like a bump. It seems to only be on the one side. Should I be worried?
I just got my very first African Grey. Golly she is ugly adn cute all at the same time. She/He is 8 weeks old. I want to know for sure what to call it, lol. How do i go about getting a dna test and how much do they usually cost?
Thanks, Kris
Thank you so much for all of your help. I've searched the internet and all the local rescues that I could find and I am having trouble finding one in the area. I am going to go look at a baby this weekend. I'm a little scared because I know I won't be able to resist and I'll bring it home. My boyfriend is afraid that a new bird will disrupt the happy Monk Parakeet that we already own. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I know there are so many Greys out in the world that are in need of a good home. I live in Northern Virginia, does anyone know of a good place to start with adopting an African Grey?
Thanks
