What is safe to use to clean my babies perch. One a wooden perch that came with the cage. The other is a branch type perch.

Still looking at all the websites everyone has sent me. Thank You Another question Do they like the play tops or is it a waste. Is bigger better? Is a wider bar space good or bad.

I was told at the pet store that you have to know what they are coated with and if it is safe so if you buy online they said you really don't know. WOW,I thought this was the easy part. HELP Gail

So are the wrought Iron OK ? That is all I could find on there for a parrot?

Does anyone have a website for reasonable good cages? What do you look for to be sure the cage is safe such as material, paint.

Yes, that is the program at petco each petco offers it to the group at that location. You can also sit there all day showing rescues. At this time I have no birds needing a new home. I have placed an add to rescue unwanted birds. I'm not a 501 I work with someone who is. I would be willing to become 501 as there are always animals in need I have heard you can do it yourself. Hi, b4 getting our new bird I started looking for bird rescues on petfinder.com. I'm on there now for dog rescue. Which I'm not doing right now as there are so many other rescues it is hard to find good homes. There really are Few birds for adoption on there. Why I don't know. Maybe we could list rescues on there it is national. Petco will let you go there to adopt out animals. They will even take donations for groups using there store. Policy think adoption first. You do have to be a 501. After I get an online adoption app. my first meeting with a new family is at petco. Since this I have been thinking about learning more and rescuing birds myself. Where did you get your grey? do they sell them that young alot?

I'm not really doing the dogs or cats anymore I still have a site. It got to be too much. What other foods could I give him. Any kind of baby food? www.purebreed.petfinder.org

Well it's a long story. I do dog rescue but this time it was a bird someone got that turned out to be too much. So we are learning Or trying to learn. They were told every 8 hrs 3x a day. We are not sure ifwe should listen to that. Yes, I'm getting up at night with my new child. I offered some mashed apple today and he did take some. BUT, I'm afaird. I don't want to make him sick. The breeder said my new grey is 6 weeks old? says he should be on 3 feedings a day and to stick to it but the crop is empty in 6 hours. So i have been feeding him every 6 hours. We have had him a week. Should we start introducing him to food also now?
