When we first got my little dog, we had her in a playpen while I was at work. I put it in front of the computer with a webcam on. So while I was at work I could watch her. Don't know if that helps, but it put my mind to rest watching her sleep. :silly:

I agree Alfie. I love it here. People are always so nice and ready to help. Glad I found this site before I got my Grey.

I play WOW. I play on Darkspear and Garona. Most of the time though you can find me on my lvl 70 Horde hunter. I love PVP. Is your server PvP or PvE. I was just asking the other night if anyone on here played. Then I found this. I haven't played long. Only for about 5 months, and only when not at school or work. I have a 56 fire mage on Garona.<br><br>Post edited by: kllorio, at: 2008/01/25 00:33

Speaking of, do you guys trim their nails...or does the vet do it? I know Petco does, but I dont want to take my baby there. Their birds all look like death, its so sad!

Since the last one got so much attention I decided maybe I should put one up of the way I look on a more normal basis. Not so done up for the wedding.

Lets start from the bottom and work our way up. As far a wing clipping goes, I have read hundreds of post, and articles and have come to one conclusion. You need to weight out the pros and cons for your bird, in your home. I know thats not the answer you wanted to hear. It wasn't what I was looking for either, but it truly is a very personal choice. I personally think I am going to leave my baby flighted. Second, everything I have read suggest that Greys take time to get used to new things. I think you should do what you suggested by taking them apart and letting your baby get used to it. Everyone says having a Grey is a labor of love. Third, as a Biology major, all I can say is that they are grey because thats what is encoded in their genes. It probably has some really significant evolutionary traits behind, but none that I know of at the moment. I will ask around a few of my professors and see what I can come up with. Sorry if this wasn't very informative, but its what I know

Thanks Joe. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's photos!

I call it "Perfect Imperfection". If you look closely he is missing half of his wing! Let me know what you think.

Cosmo is constantly trying to get in my mouth!!

I agree with dblhelix, as a studying microbiologist antibiotics often can hinder as much as help. If your bird doesn't have an infection, or a small one, often times the bacteria can become resistant to the antibiotics. This happens more often in humans as we don't finish the course of our meds because we are feeling better and think its gone. Also, I know this is going to sound gross but work with me here. When I was very little my parents bought me a cockatiel. Shortly after I got it my Dad got sick (bed ridden more than ill)and had to stay at home. Naturally she took to him very well. She was always trying to get into his mouth. After a while he stopped fighting it. She would go in there and look around and come out. Just curious no fowl play. After many years of having her it was just something they did. He could even close his mouth (gently of course)and she would just sit there and wait for him to do it again. I know ...gross! I am not saying that anyone should allow their birds to do it. Just saying I think they are interested in it, and maybe if they are given the chance to explore it, it might not be such a point of interest. Sorry this is so long, I got carried away. -
Glad to know things are looking up. Treats are great bait.

Tari, awesome idea! Been watching for a while now. Thanks! Karma to you!

Thanks for the info guys! I am a newbie thats obvious. I tried searching my topic ten different ways and nothing pulled. I created a new thread and then abdullah posted me a link of where it already was....not sure why I couldn't get it to pull. But I know I am part of the reason he started this. Sorry guys I will try to get better. Still new to all of this!

Hey guys, I have noticed in the forums people are often discussing the forbidden foods. However I have yet to locate a list of what these foods are. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!<br><br>Post edited by: kllorio, at: 2008/01/20 02:26

Have her bring some fruits or treats to him while you are in another room. My aunt had the same problem for a while but she started giving treats and being the one to change food and water bowls. They tend to take to the person who cares for them most. Let your wife take some of these duties and see if that helps. Good luck, and keep us up to date.

Gator is great meat guys! As I am from the South it is very popular. We eat all kinds of weird things :0) I noticed someone earlier mention forbidden foods...what would those be?

Ok I would love one. Last semesters GPA was 3.4, does that count for you? B) I live in West Monroe, La. Let me know how you want to setup payment and what not, and how long I should expect to get it. Thanks!

Thanks! If we need to go over that a little we can. I am just a college student and the TAG is costing me a fortune already. Lol! :cheer: `Just let me know...I'm on here 24/7 since I started.

Hey Joe, Amazing work! I love them. Small problem, they are all hanging play gyms. I live in a 50 year old cinder block house, so the ceilings aren't the best place for this. I saw you had a small standing play gym. Do you have any bigger ones for TAGs that do not have to be hung? Thanks.

I have been wondering the very same. I know I am ordering the Aviator for outdoors, but have been thinking about the suits too. Are they difficult to put on and off? Also it looks to me that the little liners are just little cotton circles women buy to take make-up off with. Is that the case? Hannah do you like them? If you CAG took a small I wonder what my TAG will take...
