  1. lolol cheers for the post Tom. That certainly made me chuckle & yes I agree, there should be a market out there!! Am so pleased that it's normal behaviour and I suppose i should be flattered that I have been given the title of the chosen one hehehe. And there was me thinking that I only had one teenager with raging hormones in my house!! (my 13 yr old son) xx
  2. Awww... I thought it may be something like that. Am pleased that it's something positive, but i do feel sorry for hubby as he loves Biggles just as much as I do, and he feels rather rejected now lol. Am hoping it's just a lil phase he's going through and that he'll soon like hubby again Thanks tigerlily x
  3. Ello peeps, For the last week or so, whenever Biggles comes out of his cage, he will NOT leave me alone. He grunts and squeaks and goes all floppy when he steps up, which ends up with him laying on his back in my lap....still grunting. He is lowering his wings also. He has also taken an incredible dislike to my husband, whom he always got on with well until now! Biggles has just turned 2 so am wondering whether its a hormonal thing or if there could be anything more serious. If it is hormonal, what should I do?? I don't want to encourage it, but then I also don't want him to worry if he doesn't get the attention he's used to! Hellllppppp!!! lol Amy xx
  4. Aviator all the way for me. I did have a fether tether but had the same problem with the buckles being 1) too big and 2) too bloody fiddly!! Biggles loves his aviator and I managed to train him to wear it and had him outside with it on within 2 weeks!
  5. The smile of your face says it all Congratulations and thank you for sharing the pic. It is wonderful when the hard work starts to pay off huh?!
  6. Biggles Male 1 and a half Fully Flighted, never clipped No Plucking or chewing ever This discussion is making very interesting reading.
  7. I've never even thought about this subject to be honest!! Thinking about it, Biggles tends to pick his food up with his left foot I think, but I shall be watching his closely over the next few days to find out lol.
  8. Also in the UK here. Hoping Father Xmas brings you and your Grey lots of nice pressies !! Amy & Biggles xx
  9. Ello! The cage that Dave has shown you on Ebay is the exact same cage I use for Biggles when we go on our travels. I call it his Biggles Caravan hee hee. Biggles loves his caravan as he knows whenever I put him in it that he'll be going out and about. I put toys in the cage exactly the same as I do his big cage at home, and have never had any problems. The only thing I will suggest, and it all depends on what locking mechanism is on the cage that you get, is perhaps think about tying it shut with something as Biggles has already figured out how to open the cage. Clever lil so and so lol  Enjoy your holiday trip!!!
  10. I completely agree with whats been said. Thanks for the advice. I am aware that the words have to be followed up with actions and was going to reinforce them with the correct context when home myself. I know exactly what words he's listening to on the cd while i'm out and i'm reinforcing them when i'm home in the context they need to be used in. I probably should have put that in me original message  :cheer:
  11. Hi all!! I have just bought a feathered phonics cd to play to Biggles for when we are out and about. It's not my intention to play it everytime we are out though as I can imagine it would probably get quite boring to hear it every day, but liked the idea of occasionaly playing it to him. Biggles appears to be a quick learner and at 1 and a half years old already has a fairly wide vocabulary. I would have been just as happy with him even if he didn't talk, but he does.... lots....and enjoys letting us know just how vocal he can be lol. Does anyone else have any of the feathered phonic cds, and if so, how have your babies got on with them?? I've bought the one with lots of pirate sayings on it. The thought of Biggles greeting us with a "Ahoy Matey!" tickles me. Amy xx
  12. I'm hoping Biggles is molting ... he's looking really scruffy at the moment lol
  13. He is lovely :-) Congratulations!! Is that a touch of red on his wing?? He's certainly a handsome boy!
  14. Would love to see a picture of that!!!
