  1. i may be interested in your african grey parrot and i live in maryland so it will be a short trip for him. I already have one african grey and may like another. All the information about him would be great..thanks.

  2. I sadly have to sell Duke my 8 yr African Grey. I just graduated from college and with my career I just don't have the time I used to. I have thought about this long and hard and it is the best thing for him. He is friendly and is used to being around other animals. He talks quite a bit, but not when around strangers. I hope to find someone on this site as I know he will be in good hands. 500$ for him, cage, play stands, food, toys and everything else I have. Walian05@gmail.com 717-856-7934 Ian
  3. Hey everyone, I just moved to Alexandria VA/ Wash. DC area. Im looking for a parrot store to get my grey's nails and wings clipped along with some other odds and ends. I have been searching online and have found a few stores but they are close to 50 miles away and with my busy schedule its hard to find a time to travel that far right now. Are there any other members that live in the area that can help? Thanks, Ian
  4. Im glad everyone enjoyed them. I will relay the message to my roomates. Its amazing what bored college students will find haha

  7. wow those toys look great. Cant wait for the site!
  8. Curious....why are greenwings prone infections and bacteria?
  9. great pics. Ethel really seems to take to you.
  10. haha when I saw this picture I looked over at Duke and he was doing what the grey on the top is doing. Great Painting!
  11. As some may remeber I decided to try to bring Duke to college with me. Well we have moved into our new house and have been living here for over a month now and Duke has been perfect. We had no problem on the trip up, he almost seemed to enjoy the ride and the change of scenery. Duke just really took well to all the changes. I have actually noticed a change in him for the better. He is a lot more out going now. He hasnt bitten any of my roomates or friends. He calls for people to come to his cage so he can play with their fingers. Infact today he did something he has never done before. While I was watching the Penn state game he climbed all the way down his cage onto the floor and walked over to me where i was sitting on the couch and started to do the "chicken scratch" at my feet. As much as I am glad he is "Fearless" now it worries me he may start to leave the cage when im not around and attempt to play with the electric cords. Overall I am very impressed by my little guy
  12. I bought Duke from Woody's bird farm. They breed all kinds of birds. Unfortunately today I learned that they had to no close. On their website it said due to the poor economy and several road closings it made it hard to stay in buisness. Its a shame
  13. This weekend I will be cuting some branches off a dogwood tree so I will steal some branches then. Thanks everyone for the quick responces
  14. Hi everyone finally able to get back on to the site for the first time in 3 months. Just been very busy and dont have internet at my new house. Anyway I will get to the point. Recently bought Duke a new cage that I will use while I am at college this coming semester and this past weekend I was helping my parents out with some yard work and cut off a bunch of branches off a red maple tree. I have been looking on like and have seen some sites say red maple is harmful and others say nothing about red maple being bad. So before I make Duke some new perches for his new home. I figured I would ask everyone here if red maple is safe. thanks
