I have a Grey and a Quaker and can't let them no where near each other. The Quaker is extremely territorial and is strictly my wife's bird. Our Grey on the other hand so far is attatched to me.She wants to be friends with our quaker but he won't let it happen. And our Grey is slowly warming up to my wife.

Susie what I have read and learned is that Grey's have to trust you, TRUST is a big issue with them. Don't force them to like you, cause they won't. Just take time to spend just talking with them and slowly gain there trust. It wont happen over night, my wife is still gaining the trust of our Grey, and she has been trying for about 2 months now. They will come arround on there time frame. Congrats on buying a lifetime partner.

Hello all, My Name is Mike (Slayer)<----dont ask lol, long story. I have 1 5 month old Congo African Grey, 1 4 year old Quaker, and I had ;( a Mulucan cockatoo R.I.P. I was the forth and final owner of the cackatoo, I adopted her from an abusive/neglectful life. Not sure how old she was but she was spoiled the 2 years I had her. My sole purpose here is to try to help this community as well as learn from this community. One question right off the bat I have is How do I get my African Grey to take a bath, she does not like the water. Could this possibly be because she is still so young (5 months old)? I have tried at least 15 times to slowley introduce her to a bath and shower, she likes neither. thanks in advance for any insight or suggestions. Mike
