yeah we don't have an avian vet clinic in greensboro. i am sure there are some vets who probably specialize in it.. but i am yet to find themm..

and for tycosmom.. he did start eating some seeds in the middle.. but i quit giving him those.. because i had heard that they arent good. he likes him apples.. he likes cheerios too..... but he has his zupreme pellets as the main diet..

he eats all of it... 30 ml.. he used to eat 40 ml.. but he doesnt anymore... he still is on his breakfast and dinner formula.. but does not get the lunch formula... he is on Exact formula.

Does it mean that he has to go to a vets?... he is healthy, eating right... ONLY the poop in the morning is like that.. the rest is normal.. can i take a sample of the poop and they can check that instead?... can they run tests on that to find out the cause? i really don't want to take him to the vets, because it is really stressful on him...

I am really worried cause the smell has gotten worse. i don't know what it is. and i don't know if i should be taking him to the vet's because he hates it. about the poop test, we dont have any avian vets in the area.. would any vet do?...the urates are more of a creamy color, i don't know if they are visible in the picture... the urine is obviously yellow. so im worried.. could anyone tell me what could be wrong? Thankyou guys... i think it is normal cause the rest he does are normal.. the poop just looks weird that is why it worries me.. i'll try posting a picture.

well the first poop smells, and is weird.. the urine is yellowish.. the urates are normal... the fecal matter is weird in consistency too.. its not like diarrhea, but more like several really small poops... its weird... should i take a picture of it and put it up here?... it will obviously take a day if i am to do that.. since he only has that kind of poop during the day....

Well. see i dont quite know what it is because the only weird poop he does is during the day.. the first one. which smells. and then the ones after that are normal. so i dont quite know whether it is issue... its just the first one that smells and is weird. the rest are very normal. so i dont know!... but i will try getting up early to catch his first poop of the day... because the rest are usually normal... any suggestions?.. what tests are they?.. and how much do they generally cost?. Leo doesnt need to go to the vets right?... also he is gaining weight, eating right, and is very active and talkative... there are no other symptoms of illness... any suggestions?...

No they did not smell before.. i dont no why.. but now they do. they smell weird.. the smaller poop just looks like poop. it isnt undigested pellets... atleast it doesnt look like it...

Hey guys thanks for posting. lol it is true that baby wipes have other chemicals.. is there another alternative i can use?.. i figured if it was ok for a new born it would be ok for my babby CAG.. but i also understand that they are more sensitive to things. so anyother alternative?... Thanks for posting!...

hey... leonidas is doing great now... he is 16 n a half weeks old now... yay!.... i just have one concern.... he is pooping well but the color of his URINE... NOT URATES... is yellow stained... he has been eating pellets... apples... n seeds... and is still on formula... but i dont know whether i should be concerned about the color... the poop smells as well... so i dont know what it is.. the feces are ok... but along with the good feces he has some small ones with it.. all in the same poop... i searched google, but didnt find any good information... his urates are white.. but the urine is not... and it smells bad.. should i be concerned? THANKYOU ALL!

are CAGs and TAGs allergic to aloe?... i have baby wipes to clean their poop, and they contain aloe. is that ok?

ThANks RADAr!!... LEonidas is doing well now. he doesnt eat as much of his formula... but likes to eat apples, and pellets... he is well on his way to becoming a good baby bird!

the pet store would not let me put a deposit down on him, and said that they will sell him to someone else if i dont buy him. They told me he wasnt fully weaned and that it is pretty easy to feed him. but i know that it isnt all that easy... the method they used for feeding him was that he would eat on his own pace... i dont mind waiting to feed him. he is a good bird. but i have seen that he does not want to eat as much of his formula even at night... i dont force feed him... like they didnt. he just doesnt want to eat it anymore. he did eat the butternut squash and apples i gave him today... however. since i have been noticing it, he has just been peeing alot, there isnt much fecal matter. and some urates. i dont no why that is... but if anyone has an explanation out there. i would appreciate it.. AND BMustee. i did not give him the afternoon feeding today.. but i wasnt here to monitor it...(my friend just had babies!)... but i will see if he eats well tomorrow... i am just giving him zupreme pellets. and some harrisons organic pellets.. he seems to enjoy them.. but does not eat alot...anyway.. please let me know what else i can to do to ensure his health. thankyou....!
