  1. dont blame you tari, i only buy for kids and not my sisters etc. christmas can be too commercialised and many seem to forget the true meaning. i run this online shop throughout the year and have done for two years now, it keeps me busy and sometimes out of trouble blessings sarah x
  2. try christmas shopping online, buy from a trusted seller (ME) i sell handmade jewellery, santa items for the kids, including letters, santa wish dust, a magic key to let santa in, christmas eve kits, i also sell fairy items, fairy portal stones, fairy dust, fairy kits most iyems retail at between 1 and 14 GBP and postage is reduced if you buy more than one item. i personally gift wrap every item and add a tag. if anybody is interested and wants my ebay id to take a look then send me a message. half of all proceeds go to meningitis uk thanks in advance for looking Sarah x
  3. Cookie sound very young, Im new to birds myself and have only had Wilson for 8 weeks, he is 2 years and 7 months but he knows what 'dont bite' means. i guess its like children, keep telling them and showing them and they learn. If Wilson takes hold of my finger and i say 'dont bite' firmly he lets go, i follow this closely with 'good boy' and lots of head tickling. it works for us. good luck Sarah x
  4. Cute stories! Wilson loves to torment Jazz our little dog, he will sit for the majority of the day shouting 'Jazz come here' or 'Jazz dont bite!' (she is the most gentle dog ever) another one is 'Jazz NO' all comments are closely followed by 'good boy wils' Not bad seeing as hes only been with us for about 8 weeks
  5. AS LONG AS HES NICE TO wILSON THERE SHOULDNT BE ANY PROBLEMS LOL:laugh:
  6. i have the affair you were waiting for joe!!! I met my current partner when I opened the door to the postam on a visit to mums, he stood there and handed me the parcel, I came in and said 'hes lovely'. it took many months and lots of lavender but eventually he agreed to have tea with me, I was single at the time and just assumed he was too, or maybe i didnt want to admit he might not be. Andrew was married, in a stale relationship which he ended. We have lived together almost a yearnow and i still think hes lovely, we get on great, we love each other too much and he made my life feel worthy again. after even the finest frog, there always comes a more handsome prince
  7. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have wrote to me and made me feel so welcome, I think im going to be spending a lot of time in here (when Wilson allows it) Already I have learned so much, the aloe gel for one is something I think will help wilson. I will try to reply individually if I can and will try to get a picture up soon, I have tried but it wont work for some reason. Thanks again, Im so glad I stumbled into here:) Sarah x
  8. Hi my name is Sarah, most of my details are on my ,profile as I havent worked out how to get around yet (or how to upload my picture). I live with my children, my partner and a cat, a dog and Wilson, my african grey. I am a mum of 4 but sadly my youngest two children are in spirit now, ironically my youngest son passed away at virtually the same time that Wilson hatched, he is my new baby boy and has already worked wonders helping me to heal. Wilson (almost 3) was in a sorry state when I got him a few weeks ago, he had been kept under the stairs and had no toys or any form of company, he settled in here better than I could ever of imagined, now ruling the roost! I hope I can help him to heal in return. He has lots of patches where he has plucked his feathers out but I am hoping it doesnt take too long for them to grow back (?), we have introduced him to several new and small toys over the weeks and he now plays very happily, he chats well and is a pleasure to live with. I have never kept any bird before so all help and advice is more than welcome, I am doing what I think to be right and although he seems very happy I am a little concerned I may be missing something vital, sprays, vitamins, etc. Hopefully I can learn more here  I look forward to hearing from some of you and chatting more soon. Sarah x
