why are greys considered wild animals if they were domesticated by egyptians 4000 years ago? is it possible a grey will never bite you? do all grey bites cause severe skin damage? last question is it true females don't change their favorite since males leave the flock in the wild? thanks alot
PS- you don't have to answer all of these maybe just 1 or 2 per person
I know i talked about birds bonding in my last 2 or so posts. This question is a little different and a rumor i've been hearing. Do parrots bond better to people of the opposite sex? Example: (male)parrot---->(female) human, (female)parrot---->(male)human.
thanks again
What is more intelligent TAG or CAG. Not what one can talk better, but what one is shown to have more reasoning ability, able to associate words with meaning better, pick up on sign from their owner better ect. TAG,CAG or same? thanks i'm just trying to decide on a CAG or TAG
I signed up for a bird training thing where i get free bird training videos every few weeks. The website is www.birdtricks.com ,the guy claims to be a pro. I was wondering if anyone knew about this guy or website and what they thought of it and the trainer? thanks a ton
Yeah like they love you when you first get them then in 2 years they see your mom or dad or whoever as their "mate" is there a way to keep being their fav? I know this Q may sound odd but i've heard a lot of ppl talking about greys in the wild find a mate at 2 or so and in captivity they do this by choosing another human sometimes.
I looked at the forum and found a lot of answers. I still have 2 questions I need answered. The first could be considered 2 questions in one. Does a Grey always change their fav person when they get older or reach sexual maturity? and is there a way to keep your grey from breaking your heart? Also on a scale of 1-10 how loud is a grey?
I've been doing a lot of research on greys and have found out loads of info. The main problem is every site has a different opinion on this or that. So I have TONS of questions. here we go, The grey is referred to as a wild bird but I thought Egyptians domesticated them 4000 years ago? (I'm not talking about the wild caught greys). Are greys one person birds? Do they change their person of affection one they reach sexual maturity or sometime in their life? What is the difference between male and females personality wise? What is the difference apart from coloration and size between CAG and TAG? (not which one is better)Do Timnehs not talk as well as Congos? How many hours does a grey need out of its cage per day minimum? Are Congos more likely to be neurotic, shy, and/or changing from one person of affection to another? I have more questions but i've got to think of them and this should be enough for now. Thanks so much
