You know I had to go back & figure out which email was hers. :side: I have emailed sooo many breeders it is all starting to run together!! LOL She has deposits on the 2 babies but said she had eggs that should hatch in about 2 weeks (and this was a week ago). I guess we could drive down there & at least check out her facility, etc. I do appreciate your helping me out!

Good Morning! Tari - I was wondering if you got any more information about that breeder in Pearl, MS? Hubby doesn't have to work Saturday & we were thinking about getting out & looking at a breeder somewhere. I think I've narrowed it to either around your area or a breeder outside Little Rock (I'm certain someone here recommended him). I got a packet in the mail from the breeder in Pearl but honestly it didn't give me a ton of info on her personally as a breeder. It did include a "check list" of questions to ask when purchasing a grey. I thought that would be helpful. Thanks! Becky

Thanks everyone! Nooney - yes, I am in the US & I don't buy anything overseas on ebay. Sorry Loviechick - I've actually looked @ that seller this morning. Thanks for the feedback!!! Being a buyer as well as seller feedback is one of the FIRST things I take into consideration!

Hi - I guess it's time for another question. Now that I've completely confused my husband with all the breeders I'm looking into he has instructed me to direct my search into cages. Great idea. I buy/sell on ebay all the time and just wondered if any of you had purchased a cage (or any bird supplies) on ebay. Were they successful purchases? The pet stores around here just mark everything up so much.

Tari what a wonderful idea! I sent an email inquiring about the greys..however I tend to be a little impatient sometimes. I'll definitely check out this breeder, as we have not actually purchased a baby yet.

Yes - Karma to you Tari! Although to be perfectly honest this is disappointing - ONLY because I was hoping that after searching blindly I'd found a decent breeder & she seems so informative & experienced. I don't know what kind of schedule you keep - but 3 hours is a very long way to drive (as I am acutally north of Memphis) just to find out this won't work, but if you would be willing to check her out for me I don't know how I could thank you!!!! This link that you put in your reply .. I see they have a couple of CAG babies...is this someone you would personally recommend .... I'm going to mapquest how far Brookhaven is from Memphis ...

oh duh - here's the address that is listed on the breeder's site: 116 Summer Ridge Drive Pearl, MS 39208 & she lists her cell as a contact (601) 454-1856.

Tari that would be awesome!! Her name is Myrna Jordan. Like I said - I found her on birdbreeders.com (that seemed like a pretty safe site to find a breeder). Her home # is (601) 664-0517.

Tari - Her company is Grey Feather Exotics in Pearl, MS. She says she's been breeding greys for 17+ years,says her babies are pulled from the nest @ 2 weeks, and hand fed until 11-14 weeks. Also that the babies are raised in her kitchen around her other pets so they seem to have a good deal of social interaction before they even leave to go to their new home. She's been very helpful & gave me her phone numbers to call anytime. She's also mailing me a brochure she has giving more information about her business. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing my girls, hopping in the truck & taking a day trip down there Saturday! Where in MS are you??

Thanks for the info! We haven't got a grey yet (hopefully very soon) - but this would be a great (and very cost effective ) way to find out what mine is going to like!
