  4. Stick at it Steven, your doing a fine job with Poppy
  5. Continue to let all family members have hands on interaction with your baby, you are off to a good start, some greys do tend to favour a certain member of the family later on down the line but if you continue with the good socialization you should have a very well adjusted grey on your hands http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-nursery/73094-socializing-your-baby-grey.html
  6. Mel here is a link for posting photos .... http://www.greyforums.net/faqs/page_2.html
  7. Great pictures Tiff, Tuki looks right at home in the park,im pleased one of us had success with the harness Thanks for sharing them with us.
  8. Yes Steven you are quite correct to leave the radio on for Poppy, you dont need it on at full volume, but it's a comforting background noise for her, i leave mine on even tho i have 4 greys
  9. Hi Floyd, that's good to hear,he obviously is very happy & content in his new home with you We have a welcome room, why not pop in & introduce yourself
  10. I only managed to find this Terri... http://www.apetsblog.com/pets-journal/pet-animal-predict-weather.htm
  11. Great pictures Melissa.Rikki looks a sweetheart.she does look relaxed on your moms arm.I'm so pleased that things have got off on a postive start for you all
  12. At this time you should see that the crop won't buldge like it did when your baby was very young as the food is getting eaten over a period of time and not all in one go.If the crop is full, limit the food but never starve your baby & make sures the crop is empting. If you have any major concerns then please refer back to the breeder of your baby.
  13. Here is a link to the FAQ section there is an article there on cages requirements .... http://www.greyforums.net/faqs/ My personal view is go for the biggest cage you can
  14. Yes I'm afraid so Dan, today we had torrential rain & gusting winds There is never any consistency with it I'm sorry to say, tomorrow may be a heatwave for all we know
  15. As long as your grey gets to interact with the family & has plenty of toys & stimulation then personally id paint the room however you like.
  16. Defrost the veggies & grapes before offering them, try a fruit spear, add different chunks of fruit & hang up for your grey to explore, then the next time make a veggie one.
  17. Great update Laurie & a big milestone for you, congrats.
  18. Around 45cc - 60cc is average per feed.I would make sure that food is available through out the day for your baby to munch on.Have you introduced some toys to stimulate your baby ? Now is a perfect time as they are awake longer & alert to what is going on around them
  19. Well we shouldnt laugh but i totally agree with you Rodney it is funny to watch when a stray particle passes them :silly: The tail feathers will be replaced, i wouldnt be overly concerned about Rio playing too rough,my greys love to beat up on their toys & lose/damage feathers in the process.
  20. To be honest i have never come across anyone who wanted to paint their interior to colour coordinate with their grey, neither have i heard that greys like to blend in.Is this a room to be soley used by your grey or the family aswell ? I have a bird room which i painted a bright yellow,i wanted to give the room a bright sunny feel to it I dont see your colour choice being a problem.
  21. im sorry but the picture isnt great, if the nere is blocked up then you need to visit the vet,im sorry but i cant be more help than that.
  22. The members have provided you with a good ideal of what they feed daily, here is a link that continues that & shows the variety of foods are members feed .... http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/24030-whats-your-greys-diet.html
  23. From what i can see it doesnt look normal to me, is it inflammed ? your best bet is to let the vet look at it.
