What is the best method to stop him flying and hanging at the light Thanks

Hi guys,just to get back to yo (and sorry its took ages) mr has improved hes alot better now,altough it hard to enforce a exact rule with 2 people (or at least i find)but hes doing well Can i just ask anyone,mr chicken is genrally a good boy but 3 times a day,once a day??? he will act up ie bite a cable he know he isnt meant to or fly on the light ect This is just part an parcel of a grey yes? the rough with the smooth and correct traing (or the best of my ability Cheers

Hi chicken has been flying up on to the light on the ceiling and although ignoring him eventually works there is still the fact it would take 1 good bite and he would be dead,now once hes settled down hes normally good as gold as long as someone new doesnt come it the house,but anyway hes 9 monthes coming up for 10 would having his wings clipped for the first time be advisable or not,as Monique states in her first post 'can you imagine being that bird going to fly and suddenly realizing your wings no longer work' i already had this as a concern we were told by the vet (luckily we have found a avian specialist in grays only!!! approx 12 miles away) that he was a good flied if that makes any difference,also if we were to have his wings clipped what effect would that have on his flight specifically would he only be able to flutter to the ground and for example we would have to put him up on the shower rail because he loves it up there there is Cheers guys

loviechick- That what we aim to do,chickens been good as gold to day! He isnt overlly bad but if hes screaming and attacking people he cant be happy?!? and that the one thing i want for him,i/we didnt take a grey on without knowing how hard it would be I KNEW it would be difficult and to a point it is,as ive just stated,if i could have it chicken hated me but was of sound body and mind and happy then so be it,of course it cant be like that,basiclly im saying i have chickens interests at heart and i really will (and do) strive for what is best for him, he was outside today because it was sunny he f***ing love it,whistling and singing his little crazy heart out Thanks for the feedback chick!!!

We do praise him for being good all the time,ive just come in and ive been away at my moms for a since yesterday late from what paul told me hes been a good boy all day apart from once,ive gome in said hello and started talkin to chicken and paul,then 1 minute later chicken flys up into the air starts screaming and circling then lands on the chair,we ask him whats up stroked him,he was good for another min,the fly aggressively on to paul on the door screaming ect onto paul and scratched his face with his claws,whether he was trying to climb on his head or what i dont know? about half an hour ago so we put him in his cage,also pauls girlfriend is here and chick can get a little jealous but normally hes ok,its nearly his bed time anyway.ive read your suggestions and have heard of the technicals we will try and we do ignores him when hes naughty but i will try thanks.

Chicken makes a little chirp like a bird when he wants something,what he wants is normally something he isnt allowed Also hes 9 months now and he has very badlly said once or twice good boy,hello,he LOVES to whistle and as paul whistles to him loads is possible for him to never talk yes? i mean chicken whilsels alot loads of diffrent ones random but saying that we both talk to him loads and he knows what words mean ie kitchen,nuts,water,jucie,fruit,no,naughty boy,in your cage i know greys can normally take up to a year or 2 in some cases to speak do people reckon he has a chance of speaking or should we cut down on the whistles? i dont really whistle to him that much i normally respond with yes,what or some word? Hi ive read that if there naughty you should tell them NO! and then but them in a separate cage, we havnt got one,chicken is out a fair bit and me and paul are periodically in and out all day till about 6 then pauls in all after that but when hes naughty ie biting for no reason he goes in his cage an we take his food out an leave him alone with the tv off for 5-10 mins,now this is pretty much guess work and suggestions of what would work,he is normally naughty say 3-4 times a day,and me and chicken dont always get on for example some times he wont want to be touched by me (not all the time and in the same breath if he wont let me touch him he will nip me so instead of putting him away i leave him alone cus i figure he telling me to piss off but then i leave the room and he will nearly always fly on my sholder,he has sometimes gone for my face but its very rare and he goes in his cage for it,when chicken been naughty paul goes to grab him (chicken loves paul to bits cuddles up by him,not me)and mabey he flys around 4-5 times but then lets paul get him with me chicken will do his best to escape and not let me grab him and im worried about putting him under loads of stress sometimes hes out of breath by the time ive got him but thats the extreme times Sorry its really long ive just typed of the top of my head, i would be on the site lots but internet acsess is tricky hopefully ill get a laptop soon and ill be more active on the site Cheers guys PIC OF LITTLE CHICKEN BUNNY APPROX 13 WEEKS

Ive got i Grey owners group on facebook i dont have alot of time to update and thing anywhere on the internet at the mo but i plan to get a laptop soon Hustonlady53-my chicken loves buttons to the remotes whe wont leave alone,He also when hes on your hand spining on to his back an playin biting you Not hard and we are no rough with him as you all know it teaches them to play hard Also he automaticlly shakes his head in a no motion when he doesnt like something Does anyones elses do that We didnt teach him B)

judygram, chick does a undeveloped laugh now an again an sometimes in unicen<SPELT WRONG or set each other off!

And you should wait 10-12 weeks till the are fully weaned i.e able to live off there baby food and use it as a supplement once a week for a while (but what can i say when i did exactly the same IMA TWAT OH YES!!! I didnt have a clue what i was doing in reality i had read up a lot of things and brought sprays and electric blankets ect but it was all futile in the end,as it so ofen is with life in general!

we had our chicken no1 at 5 weeks we were told to feed him every 4 hours with a supplement mix with about -3x in warm water i think? but he died a week later DONT TAKE THAT AS FACT check with pro first! Also our chick no1 didnt seem to do alot or move he couldnt even sit up straight half the time no very strong is your like this at all i dont know if he was doomed to start with?

Crazy its funny innit,how long have you had your grey is it just you n your own? Mine hates having a bath its really hard to get him to have one,he sits up om the shower though that probely his favorite place in the house!?!?! Thanks for your comment Moddy-Heavy name girl!!!

No i havnt seen my grey blush or physically smile but when you come in and he/she fly or in there cage to you sqauking or beeping like the microwave (my chicken has associated the kitchen with the microwave and whe we mention the kitchen he starts beeping,well funny,little duck!!
