  1. I am going to be honest, I do not have any trust in dogs or cats around my birds. I used to own a cat but not anymore. The cat killed my previous blue budgie named eclipse. The cat has stalked my cockatiel before to and if she met my African grey then she would probably go for her to. we used to have dogs when we lived in a house and one of the dogs would try and attack budgies we had at any chance. This is my experience and I know others will have different ones. I just have 0 trust in other animals but if you keep them away from each other then it should work.
  2. I adopted Lilly my CAG on Monday and she has been doing amazing. she loves head scratches, eats like a macaw and will talk a bit and make noise! She has also learned that when I tap the cage, that means she comes. I can tell me and Lilly will have a close bond in the future. The only problem is she wont step up. And the few times she did she just went right up to my shoulder. How can I get her to stop fearing my arm? I know that patience is key but she has been doing so well.
  3. Lilly is finally home and in my care! She is doing amazing and I am just in love with her allready! She has eaten and has talked once so is doing quite well. She is 7 years old and adopted. She will go in for her vet visit in November to make sure everything is good.
  4. I go to school from Monday to Friday every week and am gone from 8:30 to about 3:40 so I am looking for some tips to keep Lilly entertained while I am gone. I have a radio I leave on for my budgies and tiels right now but I know an African grey will probably get bored more easy. She will be in my bedroom with my other 4 so that might make it easier for her but I am just wanting to make sure she stays happy. she is used to being ignored from what I know to:(
  5. I will most likely be an owner to my first african grey on Monday so I decided to join this forum. I have 2 cockatiels and 2 budgies right now. I have handled african greys before and have done lots of research but any info from grey owners is appreciated! I am very excited to get her. She is 7 years old so she is adopted but is tame. I am a teenager who goes to school Monday - Friday so also tips to keep her entertained would help to! Thanks and glad to be joining:)
