  1. I started with Novalee the same way with perch n she did the same thing as your's. I switched to her stepping on my hand took a few bites but she noticed I didn't back down or reacted to her bites. She steps up for me now even on top of her cage witch she used to have control over. Just keep trying one thing I did was give her, her favorite treat n talked to her before asking to step up after a few minutes would pass I come back for her cage n ask her to step up till she did. I think if you keep trying eventually he will get used to it play with the perch let him see you do it n also try to give it treats with the perch around n every time move it closer
  2. She doesn't bite when I ask her to step up from cage or perch, she used to but now she doesn't

  5. Got a question regarding Novalee she let's me pet her in her cage,but when she out of cage no petting she bites. Any suggestions as to what I can do. When she in her cage she comes to me to be petted thanks for any advice Oops put it in wrong section

  7. Yes but in winter it b hard to get them out side or sometime hard for sunlight to come in mainly in winter

  9. Yes I been working on that since we got her after we started with Dixon. It's getting better not 100% but will get their. Since you said read what should I be reading about??? I been reading on behavior problems like biting.

  13. Hello how can I know how old my African grey is??? I bought one bird at that time he told me she was 6 months old. My gf believe she is older like 3-4 years going by we read online for eye color

  15. Sorry don't know where to post this question, I bought 2 java trees for my African grey. I noticed it's kinda slippery for them can I sand it down??

  18. They have their own cage and Java tree as Novalee likes to be more to her self when playing so we got 2 java tree so they both enjoy their time outside the cage. Every other day we switch them the Java tree as one faces the window n they have different toys. As for macaw not an issue as no macaw is in my house
  19. Yes read about how the grey can affect the macaw their for no macaw. As to having two greys in one house and having to divide our time it's more than just me.we spend time together with them they get their one on one and also they have their own time.also now know not to ask you for support Nancy
