Hey Guys, trying to figure out how to keep my little grey chicken from splashing water about and making a mess.
Has anyone used the Lixit water bottles and did it work well?
Are there any food dishes that would keep a bird from digging their food out onto the floor? I haven't seen any that fit in a parrot cage.
Gracias
Interesting. Glad to know I'm not the only one seeing this. I can't think of any reason why a bird would act like that, it's bizarre. Makes it difficult to train and reward them for doing tricks etc.
Little Grendel(about 8 months) will, when I hand her a seed, peanut, cashew piece, chip, or anything else I have handy begin powdering it but never eat it. She eats food from her bowl just fine. Is it normal for Greys to do this?
Thanks! Your bird seems to have a better diet than I do! I've had Grendel a week and she's already turning into my baby. I had no idea people fed them such a variety of foods.
Could anyone give any suggestions for what to feed my newly purchased grey. Right now I'm feeding pellet style food labeled for greys bought at pet smart but I'm sure that there is something tastier, healthier, and less expensive. What do you guys feed your Grey? Are the pellet foods better as the pet owner said or should I be feeding raw seed/fruit based mixes?
