Zoey knows the names of the cat, Frankie, and the dog, Charlie, but took longer to say Charlie's name for some reason. She will whistle to him as he walks past her window in the kitchen. lol See link to video below.
I got an IP camera last year that had sound and storage on it but was so disappointed with the video quality I got rid of it. I will keep trying to catch her at the right time when she is out of the cage because that is some of the best vocalization during the day.
I put the camera on Zoe's cage yesterday and got a few good vocalizations. Too bad she moved behind the rope ladder before saying the good stuff but she vocalizes more when she is not looking at the camera. She says "I love you" in my voice and mimics my cough to a T! Now I will have to work on something to say to get her to cough like that;)

This is what we do daily in the mornings. Zoe is very vocal in the mornings and loves to whistle songs back and forth with me. She has started saying "Frankie no!!", "right now Frankie!" Frankie is the cat. Zoe captures the frustration in my wife's voice perfectly. lol.
Here is some random chatter and whistling from Zoe. She is starting to say more words. Always seems happy to engage with anyone who is over. She is nearly a year and 1/2 now. I think we got super lucky with her.
Thanks! That has been a challenge with Zoe as well. She is finally able to talk with me looking at her and filming. Until lately she would wait until I was around the corner and then speak.
Thought I would share some of the latest training successes. I basically used clicker and treat training to elicit her response to a verbal cue from me or my wife. Got a couple links below showing her saying our cats name Frankie and her asking a question.
We got our timneh baby from Lea and Bob at 5 oaks aviary near Tulsa OK. They do ship but we picked her up after a 3 hour drive or so. You might check with them to see what they have coming up. I see one timneh in the nursery that is already reserved.

I found a small tv w built in dvd player on craigslist for $15 so I leave that on in her room. She makes noises from spongebob and other nickelodeon shows. I also found a baby development channel that is for infants and she watches that and seems genuinely interested. Shapes, colors, that kind of thing.
