1. The betta food that I have does not mention garlic on the label. You should see her though,it is just too funny when she gets into it.
2. My cockatoo goes nuts for betta food!!! She absolutly loves the stuff.I don't give it to her,but when she is out she goes right to it if she see's it.Is there anything bad about it? After reading the label it looks like it might be good for her.I just don't want to give something to her that is harmful.
3. Yeah they were big.I played around with it until I figured out how to re-size.Those are the first pics I have ever put on the net,so I didn't know what I was doing. Anyway Drizzle is very very smart!!! He is already saying a few words and picking up whistlesd and other sounds at 5 3/4 months old.He mumbles all day long and once in a while a word comes out.....it is soooo cute!!! And to top it all off he loves everyone and has had no biting issues at all. We did have a scare last week though. He hot his eye on a toy and was unable to open it for a few days.It was all red and gooey, but it is better now.I wish my Cockatoo liked him though,it would make play time better.
4. I guess it worked, but a little bigger than I would have liked.
5. I hope this works,I have never done this before.... Post edited by: CAGguy, at: 2007/09/26 23:15 Post edited by: CAGguy, at: 2007/09/26 23:18

Post edited by: CAGguy, at: 2007/09/26 23:22
6. I will get pics up as soon as i get My computer up and running. He is so much fun and he loves attention from anyone he can get it from.As for me keeping everyone updated, you dont have to worry about that. You guys are great and I love this site so I am not going anywhere!!!
7. Yeah I know that I should QT him,but my living situation does not let me have them in seperate rooms.I will be taking him to the vet to get him checked out here, even though he was at the vet for a check up on thursday morning before shipping. But he is great!!!
8. Picked up Drizzle from the airport today and instantly fell in love!!! He is a sweet bird and very playful!!! He is not even 5 months yet and is rather clumsy still, but he is starting to mumble "hello" already.I am glad the wait is finally over,it was killing me!!! He does not like my Goffins very much, but she really does not like him either.I am sure over time they will tolerate each other. Finally I get to be rewarded as a Grey owner!!!
9. I am almost ready.I spent over $1000 dollars today on a cage, toys, light, and a few other things.I will pick up more stuff next week.I just need to get things set up for him.The breeder says that he is fun and friendly, and really likes to play.I am really glad to hear that.My Cockatoo is going to be really jealous at first.
10. I can't wait,I was just told that Drizzle will be ready in about 2 weeks!!!! I can't wait to get him home finally!
11. Drizzle is getting so much bigger!!! He has most of his grey feathers now,and most of his red tail! Updated pics of him are on www.parrots.com. (He is the NY reserved) I would post pics of him,but I don't know how to take them from 1 site and put them on another. The breeder just put him in his own cage and will begin weaning in a week.hopefully I can get him home in 5-6 weeks.
12. I agree with you on that one.I really enjoy being part of this forum family.Reading about other people and their greys makes me happy and helps me see what I am going to be getting myself into.Atleast I have my Cockatoo right now and she is a sweet heart.I just can't wait to get my grey home.
13. There are a couple really young pics of him on www.parrots.com under parrots for sale.Drizzle is the 1 marked reserved for Kevin H. New York.I will try to post pics when I get him home.I have to learn how first..lol.
14. Well she said she lets them go between 90 to 120 days,or as soon as it is fully weened. So between the end of July and sometime in august I hope.I asked her the other day and she said it usually takes 5 weeks from the time they are in their own cage and that drizzle was not in his own cage yet.It really does not matter because if it were tomorrow it would not be soon enough...lol.I still have to get a cage and supplies so I need some more time, but I can't wait!!!
15. Well I just got an email from janet at wool-n-wings and she said that the DNA results are back and my baby is a boy!!!! So now I know that my bird will be named Drizzle! It is always exciting getting new info on a baby.Drizzle is now 7 weeks old!!!
16. Where at in WA? You might want to check out www.parrots.com.They are in Oregon, but Janet is great! I am getting my grey from her and I currently live in NY.It is $900 for a grey.$30 for DNA sexing and $150 shipping. She ships Alaska Air or Delta. So Shipping would probably be to Sea/Tac airport.I believe her place(wool-n-wings) is outside of Portland. She weens all the birds before they leave her care.Check out the site if you are interested. It is worth the look!
17. Well if it is a female it will be "jewels" (my girl picked it)and if it is a male it will be "drizzle" (my brother picked it).I kind of like both so I went with it. There are baby pics of it on www.parrots.com go to parrots for sale under Kevin H. from New yok.More pics should be up next week!!!

Post edited by: CAGguy, at: 2007/06/15 23:41
18. Well first off hello to everyone!!!! I have been on this forum many times to read about what is to come.My CAG was born on May 4th and I should be getting it home either at the end of next mont or early august.I can't wait!!! I do not know the sex yet,but the breeder is going to have the dna results by next week.I have a Goffins Cockatoo so parrots are not new to me,but from what I have been reading a grey is a whole lot different from a cockatoo.I am looking for any advice I can get on owning a grey. The cage I am getting is 36"x28"x44" on the inside with a playtop. That seems like a good size right? Do I need to get a bird light? i have read the greys need it.Also what are the best toys for a young bird? It will be around 3 months old when I get it.
