O my gawd.... When i bought my cage i thought it was GREAT but now that I see other cages I feel TERRIBLE!!! This is my first parrot so I think I'm still learnig all these things? BTW how big should the cage be?

Kay do you know anything about Brennco? My aunt uses it and it seems like tequila likes it.... how old is your Grey? Wait.... 14 feb so that makes him 3 months? I also use the avi plus... the blue pack (handrearing-parrot).

Good news.... I found a breeder on the internet and they use harrisons so i send them an e mail asking them where i could purchase it.... just waiting for a reply! I really just want the best for Tequila!

Hey and thanx for the replies!! Well I'm from South Africa and i dont think we have those here! The feed he is eating by himself is Brennco and its a mixture of Maize, green peas, soya oil cake, flaked barley and flaked oats. So should I completly stop with the Formula? You guys are really great and i appreciate your advice! Karla

Today I noticed him eating some of the feed! He is now about six weeks. What am i to do and is this a good or bad thing? Thanx

okay well im a new bird owner and i've been reading this posts on wing clipping and i personaly think that if you think it is the right thing to do and it will be safer for your bird then go ahead and do it. Another thing is that people are saying that birds are supposed to fly... right but now its your pet.....birds aren't supposed to be kept in cages either!?

hey Guys, How have you been doing? Me and tequila has been doing great. He/she really makes me laugh... each time i talk to him he makes strange sounds almost like he's trying to talk back!!! I hold him every time i feed him so thats 3 times a day, it was so cute because he goes up to my neck and he falls asleep. So i sit with him til he wakes up then i talk to him and then i put him back. I've also noticed that he tries to climb on his cage... It also looks like he wants to run around! thanx all you guys for all the comments.... im taking him to the vet today. They have showed me how to hand feed and how his crop must be and that it musnt be stiff. he is really cute so ill take him to a vet and ask him to show me everything i need to know, i wouldn't wanna let my new little baby die. Again thanx so much and anything new please ill appreciate some more advice. I'm also putting a pic up of tequila so you guys can see why i love tequila so much allready!!

hey everyone reading this. My name is karla and i'm 22 years old, i just got african grey it hasn't been sexed yet but we've named him/her Tequila... Tequila is now 7 (I edited this) weeks old. Today is only the second day Tequila is home with us and i'm allready attached!!! I love my new baby and wouldn't want anything to happen to her/him. Can you guys please give me a few tips and tricks on how to feed tequila and what is she supposed to eat and how often should i feed her. The people i bought her/him from gave me something too feed her almost like porridge. how old must she be when i feed him/her something new and what should i give him/her? How old are they when they start eating at their own? Please guys i really would appreciate it as this is my first baby bird!
