1. Gus I am so sorry to hear about your brother, that cancer is some nasty stuff and I don't think there is a family out there that hasn't been touched by it in some way or form. I will keep him and you in my thoughts and prayers and you come back and join us when you can.

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2008/04/13 19:38
2. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and Fel.
3. Hello BrothaWolf and welcome to the family, so glad you finally decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new grey. Sounds like your gf really loves her Cag and wants you to experience the wonderful relationship she evidently shares with hers, they are amazing creatures. You have done the right thing in reading all you can before making that final decision as this is a lifetime committment that is not to be taken lightly. I encourage you to read thru the many threads for lots of useful information that might answer some of the questions you may have or will have once you bring her home. Do not hesitate to ask all the questions you may have as we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. When you get the chance to take a few pictures of her if you would like to share some of them with us we would love to see her.
4. I look forward to seeing those pics of Simon as we have some members who share your passion of photography and you will have the opportunity to enter some contests we are all the time having so click away.

Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. 6. Gosh ConnieLu you have been thru a lot lately and I had no idea that you were undergoing all these operations but glad to hear you are on the mend and back with us again, we sure have missed you.
7. So now Booty is going to be fine, thats wonderful to hear and so glad you informed us of what the vet found, you never know it may help another with a similar problem, thanks so much for updating us on her. BTW, congrats on Booty being a girl, woohoo:P
8. Josey tries to do the same thing, she takes her beak and dips it down into the water and flings it everywhere but she doesn't manage to get very wet, it is funny to watch as was your video, so thanks for sharing that with us Siobhan.

Welcome!

Yes this is a great addition to the forum as we do have a lot of questions being asked about the care and feeding of our babies and I can't think of a better person for moderator for this room but Tracy, aka LoveMygreys, she will do an excellent job with it.
10. Hello Melstashi and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. BTW, what is his name? You have received the highest honor a grey can bestow on his owner but like mentioned in another post it should be discouraged. He will still love you but he will come to understand that you don't need his little gifts of food. Is this your first parrot and/or first grey? From the question you asked I assume you are a first time parrot owner. Take some time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have any pictures of your grey you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
11. This is great news Penny, so many new grey owners start out with a baby grey and this will be the place to come for helpful advice.
12. She should still get one twice a week, do it whether she likes it or not:(
13. Yes she is, Heather and so glad you found a way or should I say your husband did, got to give credit where its due, thanks for sharing these with us, now we all can enjoy them.
14. Good job Heather, you found a way, now we will be hearing a lot more out of Harrison, you reckon:laugh: B)
15. Suns are beautiful and my Sunny is no exception and she is a cuddler too, she loves nothing better than to hang out on my shoulder all the time she is out of her cage. I call her a she but she has not been DNA'd as I don't care what sex she is, she's just mine.
16. Mark you are a hoot, a reat treat to have on this forum, you bring sunshine into an otherwise dull day.
17. Hello Rochelle and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Oscar. The little feathers he is dropping is a good sign he is going thru a molt, he will shed his feathers and grow new ones so this is the natural process. It depends on how much he is sneezing and whether he is showing any other signs of illness, like a discharge out of his nares or being listless or sitting with his feathers fluffed up. If he has not seen a vet in a while or never he should have a checkup to make sure everything is ok and yes he needs an avian vet, someone who specializes in birds. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. Do you have a grey as most people come here because they either have a grey or are planning to get one. Of course it is not a requirement to be a member but I am just curious to know. If you have some pictures of Oscar you would like to share with us we would love to see them, we have an other birds room where you can post them. BTW, I also have a sun conure, she was my first parrot and her name is Sunny.
18. Thats my kind of gal Siobhan, let them come the next week, baby comes first.
19. Sure, where do you live anyways, don't know where you are, I'd love to see baby birds.
20. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well but yes get over what you have so you will be in fine shape for the arrival of Jenna and you will be able to fully enjoy her, gosh I can hardly wait now myself.
21. Well if they are getting tired of hearing it maybe they will come out and call too and help you find him faster then the calling will be over with plus its another voice, save yours. Keep at it for you will find him.
22. You are an impatient momma waiting for her baby to come home, I don't blame you but this one week will pass soon enough and then you will have the rest of your life to enjoy Jenna:P
23. Never give up hope that you will find Boo, I feel like you will find him soon, just keep looking and calling and we will continue to pray for his safe return.

25. What a turn of events but you finally have Cooper and he will be so much the better for it, he just doesn't know it yet. They say things happen for a reason and you were meant to have Cooper, its just sad the owners couldn't have just called you to come and get him. Give him some time to settle in and we would love to see some pics as soon as you can manage it but congrats on getting Cooper. Keep us updated on his progress.
