I have that one too Tina and Josey loves to grab it by the chain and give it a good swing to make noise, another good bell they can't destroy.

Believe me the name Bubba is more of a redneck name and I know because I am from the South but it could be as you described also, but in any case it doesn't befit a grey.
-
I don't see a problem with it either Amberly especially if you get a rescue, a new home deserves a new name and I don't blame you if the name is Bubba, sounds more like a southern redneck.

Hello Pionexx21 and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Baby Noodles. What a cute name of endearment for your grey and I wonder if you would share the story of how or why you named her that? Was the weaning process especially long or just the wait until you could bring her home that was so long, we all know how you feel, once you make the decision to bring one of these amazing creatures into your life it can't come soon enough. Please take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. Would you share a couple of pictures of Noodles with us as we would love to see her.

Yes I have that particular bell toy and it is like it says, indestructible and Josey does play with it, greys love to bang them around to hear them make noise. You are so right, greys do love bells and those smaller bells they will take the clapper out but this one is encased in hard plastic so they can't get to it.

Hello Marianna and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and George. Yours is not the first grey that started out with a boys name and the bird ended up being female and if she knows her name as George then so what, I think it is a good name and you can always put an i in it and call her Georgie. Since you have had her for the last 6 years you may know it all by now but in any case browse thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. George is a lovely grey from her picture, thanks so much for including it in your introduction, we love photos here as you can tell.

Continue to read thru the many threads, you will find lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If your baby is only 13 weeks old, will you be continuing with the handfeeding? I know you are very excited that in 2 days you will have your precious baby grey home with you, you are in for a treat. Would love to see some pictures after you bring it home.

That is so sweet that the two of them are getting along just fine and I know you are anxious to get them home with you, thanks for updating us on Saphira and Thorn, and I can't wait to see some pictures.
-
Thanks for the tip Toni, I occasionally have them if I am not quick to get the scraps that Josey leaves after eating, I will try it and let you know how it works for me.
-
Stephanie, since he has not been seen by an avian vet in over a year I would make an appointment to take him in, he needs a well check, they will check his blood and overall condition. For some greys it can be a stressful thing for them but you won't know it until you try. My Josey does just fine when I take her in and most will if the vet knows what they are doing.

I have seen this commercial many times as it has been around for some time but it is still funny to watch, thanks for sharing it with us:laugh:

What an interesting shot, Spence, but you won't get any flack from me, I know you did not put Chloe in any danger but I know some will disapprove of it. I am glad to hear you do not smoke around her, you shouldn't smoke at all but that is another matter and I will not chastise you any further for it. Thanks for sharing the picture with us and of course explaining the shot, we do have some members here with short fuses so to speak.

Congrats Tulip and that is just one month away, be here before you know it, I look forward to seeing some pictures.

Happy Hatchday Talon, I know your Mommy was extra good to you today, may you have many, many more to come. {Love-000200BF}

Yes she needs to be inside her cage with the door closed while you are gone to work or anytime you leave the house. They can get into anything and she could hurt herself or get killed. She may look like she never moved from where she was when you left her but she could chew into electrical cords or ingest something she finds, I wouldn't want to take the risk. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and your grey.

OMG, what a mess:woohoo:   sorry I just had to do that. Boy that is some improvement in Nickel, you have done a wonderful job with her. You have some good looking birds, thanks for sharing them with us. I just love the last shot of Nickel, she looks like she is saying "What you looking at, punk, you want a piece of me":woohoo:  B)

Those are some great pictures Melisa, I think I would be tempted to take Charlie too, they look so good together, too bad he is already sold, thanks for sharing them with us.
-
Brett, why don't you browse thru the nursery room, there are some threads there that deal with socialization and baby greys, you will find lots of advice. Just read as much as you can and you will do fine, don't stress yourself out about it as that won't help at all, just relax and enjoy it.

Hello Margie and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you, Joey and this new addition you want to add. I hope you and the breeder can work things out so you can bring him home, he needs a good stable environment and you seem like someone who is up to the task. Continue to read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. He looks like a darling from the picture and if you do get him I would imagine that would improve 100%. Feel free to share some pictures of Joey too as we would love to see him also.
-
I too think he is establishing some independence and setting his boundaries, he's not a little baby any longer and he wants a say in what he will do and not do so give him a little space and please don't give up on him, he needs to know he can trust you to be there for him. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and this grey.
-
See, when one door closes, another one opens, you will have your grey and I am not familiar with Sweetest Day but glad it is going to happen for you, can't wait to see the pictures, Saturday hurry up and get here.

You better, I'm counting on it:laugh:  :side: :woohoo:
