Oh boy, not only do you have a smart bird but you got a smart dog, he wasn't about to miss out on that spaghetti but what a mess:pinch: thanks for sharing that with us.
I wish you much luck and hope the next post from you is with the good news that you got it.
Bert from Sesame Street, no way, I bet you are awesome looking.
Thanks Hannah for sharing that video of Ecko flying, he is becoming more adept at it and pretty soon he will be soaring all thru the house and congrats on hearing some words, thats always exciting to hear.
I don't have any of Josey sleeping but you all have shared some cute ones of your greys, they are all so adorable I can't pick my favorite, I love them all, thanks for sharing these pics with us and thanks Caitlin for starting this thread.
I have a cat but it stays outside so there is no interaction but I lost a cat last year that lived in the house and she never paid any attention to the birds, maybe it was her age, she was 18 years old, gosh I miss her.

Post edited by: judygram, at: 2009/05/28 14:09
Thats wonderful to hear Pat and he looks so comfortable there on your shoulder, you should be very proud, you have done wonders with all your birds, thanks for sharing a pic of the two of you together.
Oh no, not again Dan, I know you lost him once before and got him back, I hope and pray that you find him safe and sound, you are going to have to put a leash on him. Knowing you I know you are doing all you can to get Jake back, wish I lived closer, I would come and help Kim look for him. I will keep Jake in my thoughts and prayers that he is found soon.
It would be great if several of us who live within driving distance could go together, I plan on making a day of it, I also volunteered myself for a couple of hours while I am there.
That is so funny, I bet he was wondering where in the world that sound was coming from, probably thought he had some competition somewhere, I hope you gave Koko a treat after this, I'm still laughing, thanks for sharing that story with us.
I'm sorry to hear this Janet, I know how much Lily means to you but here is hoping that she gets over this and has many more years with you, I will keep Lily in my thoughts and prayers.
Cute video Carol, your daughter is not swayed away from her focus on her game and you are enjoying yourself immensely, lets see how things go in 6 months, a year, thanks for sharing that with us.

Lovethatgrey, it is your money to spend any way you want to, personally I would not put that kind of money into a cage because frankly I don't have it but if you have it then go for it. Your grey won't appreciate what you get because a big cage is a big cage whether it is powder coated or stainless steel.
Be sure to let us know what you do finally get and give us some pictures so we can admire what most of us can't afford.
My granddaughter has an all black cat, a spayed female that loves to play and is beautiful with a slick black coat probably like yours, makes me want another one.
Of course Talon has to show him who rules the roost, now if we had a picture of said cat for I would love to see it.
BTW, what did you name him?
Thanks all you guys and dolls for the well wishes for my precious Josey, she had a good day here at home with me and I spoiled her rotten. She gave me kisses and I gave her some of her favorite food, cheddar cheese, life is good.
I sent an email to the Sanctuary and got a response that I could come on the 6th of June but that date does not work for me as I have training that day for the upcoming election primary on June 9th. I sent a reply for the next available date and haven't heard anything back yet but will keep you informed.
Probably too late now but you should have taken Coco to see an avian vet right after you brought her home for a well check but I agree with the others, take her to your avian vet.
Your breeder may have wanted you to bring her to his house because he knows there was something wrong with one foot before you ever brought Coco home, thats what I suspect.
Yes it will be expensive but if you have insurance that should cover it or at least part or most of it.
Let us know what you find out and I hope Coco will be ok.
I definitely heard a call for Pogo and I also hear the laughter in the background, Tobie is keeping everyone entertained, thanks Jan for sharing that with us.
A pm is a private message Jan and yes you are right, we need some way to identify which toy for some members entered more than one. I will send a pm to Talon and see if she can help us with this.
Dayo really does sorta clam up when you get the camcorder going but he is still entertaining to watch, he does enjoy chewing up those almonds and I couldn't tell if he actually ate any, I think he just likes the feel of it in his beak.
I wish you could get a video of him turning the water faucet off, that would be so cute but thanks Dan for sharing that with us and may I say he is a fine looking grey.
Thats great that Beau likes to work a little to get the reward, just don't give peanuts in the shell as the shell can harbor mold and fungus.
Another idea is to hide those nuts in other things that he has to work to get them out and toys that you hide treats in and they have to figure out how to get to them. I have some block looking toys that have a slide open side that you can put things into and then they have to figure out how to open it to get the treat.
OMG Penny, but it could have been a lot worse, thankfully he was wearing his helmet that you bought for him.
As for his father, he never should have bought a 10 year old a dirt bike in the first place, he is too young to be operating such machines and what happened only proves that. You don't buy a child's love with expensive gifts.
Jeepers just wanted to be in the middle of everything and now that he is he is happier and that shows in how he reacts with you. It is so great to hear you speak of how he is doing better, poor thing probably did have a terrible life before coming to you but he will soon realize he has hit the jackpot.
Thanks for sharing this story with us Pat.
