  1. Wow, I want to come to your bird marts, you picked up some great stuff for Dayo and Jake. I hope to purchase a similar playstand to the one on the floor when I go to our bird fair on the 20th. What is yours made of, the one I am looking to purchase is made from crape mrytle branches. Thanks for sharing your good finds with us.
  2. Thanks for the update on Eli and I hope his next vet visit goes well, you are welcome to check in more often and share some pictures if you like.
  3. Does anyone use twitter, I hear some people say they get hooked on that one?
  4. Happy Anniversary Caroline and Dave, may you two have many, many more happy ones.
  5. I don't know anything about myspace so I don't know if it compares to facebook but it helps me keep up with what my kids are doing especially my daughter, now that she is getting a divorce she is going a little wild.
  6. Of course not, so the three greys get three special days a year for you are so right, you can't leave the other two out, heck they may never forgive you if you did:ohmy:  :side:
  7. Scott I see you just brought Zel home recently, give her some time to settle in, you know greys are very cautious creatures and do not take to change very quickly. She needs some time to become familiar with her new surroundings to feel comfortable and if she feels more comfortable on top of her cage then so be it. She will let you know when she is more comfortable but we always preach time and patience when working with greys, you will need both. You might be a little paranoid but you will do fine.
  8. Gosh this is an older thread going back to 2007 but what the heck!! I am on Facebook but I haven't been to myspace, there are too many sites to go to so I stick with one, some people love twitter too.
  9. Happy Hatchday Charlie, you have a special mum who loves you along with your other two companions and knowing her she will spoil you rotten today as she does everyday.
  10. "I" hope you never need to post another missing bird again for this was the second time for the same bird but yes you do need to show your gratitude to those who help you find him and one good thing came of it, the people who found your Jake now wants one of their own, how precious is that, having yours for a few days made them a bird lover. You should give them a big hug for doing the right thing and letting you know they may have your bird for it is so easy for another person to just keep it especially when they see how wonderful having one is.
  11. I am afraid I can be of no help to you but if the avian vet couldn't find anything wrong then I wouldn't believe the pet store owner's statement that is was scaly face mites, if your grey had this surely your vet would have picked up on it. But do ask your vet about the acrylic painting in conjunction with his missing feathers and see if there is any correlation, if anyone should know it would be your avian vet.
  12. Thanks for that!! {Feel-good-0002006E}
  13. Sille is a beautiful cockatoo and I love the pic of her with your dog, thanks for sharing your new bird with us.

  15. I may just have to do that, thanks for the tip.
  16. I can't wait to see some more pictures when you have them of the new babies.

    help

You are going to have to give him more time to get used to having the playstand around, I had the same issue with Josey when I introduced a new playstand. Greys are very cautious creatures and scared of new or different things, put the playstand where he can see it and then start bringing it closer one day, then the next day bring it a little closer and so on until he is comnfortable with it being close then try putting him on it. Maybe put a toy or two on it to entice him to want to get on it, you play with the toys on it and that might make him interested enough to want to investigate it and then you have it made.
  18. "That steak on your plate is WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  19. It is a pity that their means of showing affection is a disgusting thing to us but thats life, you have to take the bad along with the good.
  20. Yep, that is another very wet grey, how do you two manage to get your greys so soaking wet? Looks like Adaya and Keywe take the top spots for wet greys.
  21. Well I only have two but I have all I can handle since I work a full time job and feel adding another will spread myself too thin, now if I didn't have to work for a living then I would definitely have a couple more.
  22. Yeah Jake is back home safe and sound but not without a scare, poor thing, only he knows what he went thru but that is all in the past now so I would imagine he will be watched more carefully now so this doesn't happen again. I'll bet that was so heartwarming to see him act so excited when he knew he was home, now go and spoil the little bugger for you have a few days catching up to do.
  23. Thanks Pat for sharing that with us, I look forward to seeing more now that you know how.
  24. He won't be going to see about Jake until 5:30 pm pacific time so it will be a while yet, sorry we all are on pins and needles wondering but he is 99.9% sure it is Jake.
