OMG I can just see the poop dripping off your nose if you continue this practice Carol:S PMSL you are having way too much fun with these two. Thanks for sharing these pics with us and making me laugh.
Well congrats are in order Melisa, its not every day that someone's beloved pet ends up on the front banner and yes he is a handsome devil if I may say so.
I open the cage door and let Josey come out and while she is on the top or the playtop side she sometimes goes back in for a snack or a drink of water but sometimes she goes back in to play with one of her toys.
A steam cleaner is what I need and like Pat said you don't need any kind of cleaner solution in it, the steam itself cleans it off, you just wipe with a clean cloth or paper towel and all done.
No as far as I know they are the same size, its just the price that is higher, I am with Pat on the adventure pack, it is too small for a grey, I use mine for my sun conure, just right for her.
Yep but that is to be expected when you have birds whether they are flighted or not, you are going to have to learn to live with poop.
It would seem you would tell the ones wishing their greys could fly to be careful of what they wish for, they might get it.
Caroline is right, Harvey will be fine, he won't like being caged for the entire two week period but he will be so glad to see you when you get back all will be forgiven so go ahead and enjoy yourself.
Yeah I could tell you were really upset about it but I guess it is not so unusual after all but you are going thru a really rough one. I wouldn't worry too much about the others going thru the same thing, they might just take it in stride, at least don't think about it until it happens. Just knowing you are not alone in what you are experiencing is a big help in itself.
Hang in there Erika, you only have a few more weeks to go.
Thats great to hear Nick and that is a sure sign he trusts you.
Josey likes to sit on my shoulder and gives me kisses too, I can touch her most anywhere but it is the look in her eyes that show me the most when she wants me to come and get her, she doesn't have a full set of flights yet and will beg for me to get her.
Hello MadMax and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and MadMax.
You will need to give us lots of information about him and your situation to give us a better chance of helping you with your problem, how old, how long have you had him and so forth and so on. We have many knowledgeable members who may be able to help you and MadMax come to a peaceful agreement.
The first word is always special but then it opens the floodgates and you will hear all sorts of things now, be sure to watch what you say if there is anything you don not want repeated then don't say it.
I feed Josey beets, in fact she loves them when we have them fresh from the garden, I cook them with the skin on until they are tender then the skins slip right off and I chop them up for her, but be prepared for the next mornings poop to be red in color.
My Josey loves spaghetti also but tonight she is having an all vegetable dinner, we have green beans, new potatoes, peas, stuffed yellow squash and cucumber and all of them came fresh from the garden.
Nice Shelia, very nice, wish I could get my hubby to build something like that, guess I will have to bribe the grandkids to ask as he will do most anything for them.
The thing for you to do is when you are at home leave the cage door open for him to come out if and when he feels like it and he will eventually come out when he gets curious but this may be weeks down the road.
I'm glad you love a challenge and won't give up on him for he will try your patience before you finally win him over.
Well just let him get used to his new home, he has a lot of issues to overcome and he needs to learn to trust you and that takes time and lots of patience. How cruel to cover him constantly to try to shut him up.
You have a long road ahead of you but take it slow and easy and he will let you know when he wants more from you.
He is very set in his ways at this age and will take some time for him to feel comfortable and it also depends on how many owners he has had and his own personality but greys are known to be very cautious creatures so give him lots of time and two weeks is not near enough.
Do you know anything about his past?
