  1. Thank you for your reply. i didn't look at the benfits of them learning from each other, i was just concerned about them fighting or it upsetting them both. jennyx
  2. I have a an african grey called Vera, my mum also has one called lucy, lucy isn't quite 1 yet. My mum has been taken in hospital and asked me to take lucy home to my house till she is well. I don't want Lucy to be left alone and would love her to come to stay but would this cause problems. Would both birds stop talking if they were introduced? and what would be the best way to introduce them? thanks for your help or suggestions. jennyx (By the way we are unsure what sex lucy and vera are)
  3. Hi, hope things have improved with Kiwi. My baby was the same for the first week but things are great now it just takes a little time. Once she realises that she can trust you, then you will be her best friend for life. I remember when i went to pick Vera up and she bite the man in the pet shop he tapped her in the face, i couldn't believe it. When i got her home if she bite me (which she did most of the time for the first few days) i just said no and put her stright back on her perch in her cage and walked away, i would leave her a couple of minutes and then go back to her. She soon realised i am her friend and i am not going to hurt her and now i have the most loving best friend.

    mirrors

Hi, this may seem like a silly question but someone told me that having a mirror in a parrots cage may stop them learning to talk. I would like to give Vera a mirror but if it is going to stop her learning to talk i dont want to risk it.
