  1. gusandgloria, thanks for yur post and i understand what you are saying, but all my children have been brought up with birds, budgies, cockateils and now african grey. our yonger child is 4,and wouldnt be left unattended around any bird! big or small my children are never left alone around any birds,as we all know, children can be a bit clumsy, and birds can also be nippy, and it doesnt matter if you had the bird for years, one little fright could cause it to nip,so when my birds are out,im sat with the birds and kids. But i do understand what you are saying.
  2. scary stuff this teflon,i read all the boxes now! from hair dryers to pots n pans, the stuffs everywhere!!
  3. hello knight05,nice to meet you,and hope to see some nice pictures of you baby soon
  4. how true,i bought bernie a toy from our local pet store, cost me a lot of cash, and he had it down and destroid within the day! Makes me laugh,i buy Bernie parrot toys and there expensive,he has it done before the weeks out, then i buy my wee boy a new game and he does the same! i give my boy hard time 2,telling him that was dear to buy these things, lol he says mummy you dont tell Bernie off!! after reading on here i went up the loft and brought down a pile of my childrens toys, bernie loves them, and the kids love to play with them and bernie. so bernie happy and the kids, and i got some extra cash.lol
  5. hi.i also read some place that a CAG had died instantly, and it was due to there owner drying there cag of with a hairdryer!! the element inside the hairdryer was coated in teflon and the high heat caused the fumes to kill the poor baby instantly:( i use a baby soft towel for Bernie,
  6. hello Terri and nice to meet you.

  12. we all love to hear our birds talking to us,and we all sit and wait for the day that he/she gives us the rush of pride when they say it to you. So i thought it would be nice to see what all the birds are talking about all around the world,so what new words or sayings has you bird chatting? Bernies new saying is "wheres the birdies" and "big trouble" he says wheres the birdies for my wee girl stands and asks him this when he is beside her at the window,he even does it in her tone :silly: and big trouble is when he goes to nip me,i just say big trouble and he stops, lol good birdie,
