After three or four flights she wants to stop taking flight?
-
While teaching my grey to fly and land short distances I noticed she is breathing heavy. After a few short flights she is tired. She is back to normal after a minute or so. Is this normal?

I am looking for a way to travel to Hawaii with my flock. It appears that no airline will allow pet birds in the cabin to Hawaii. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Last week my 4 year old sun conure Rosie got spooked and flew off. She hit a wall a lost some feathers near her eye. It appears the spot she hurt does not bother her when I touch it. Since that time, more feathers have fallen out around that spot. She shares her home with a gold cap named Meadow. Rosie can not get to that spot on her eye by her self. Do you think Meadow is plucking her feathers and if so will she keep doing this?

Thank you. I think I got the idea. It's going to take a while for Sterling. I think my Rosebreasted will wear the harness first. She is already playing with it.

How long does it take to get your bird in a harness for the first time?

Great information everyone. I think my Rosebreasted will like it too. She is the best flyer in my flock. Thanks...

My flock of 4 has there own bird room. Sometimes my 3 year old CAG will climb down off her cage while playing and climb up her sister’s cages to play or just sit. If I am in the room with her and not paying full attention to her, she climbs down, walks over to me, and wants to play. I sit on the floor with her. Sterling likes to play ball on the floor. In the past, few weeks while I am out of the room sterling climbs down her cage and leaves her room and walk down the hall. The hall floor is tile so I can hear her leave her room. Is she looking for me or just wondering around?

My CAG was on the carpeting walking around and she started to scratch the carpet with her talons. (like a rooster) She also pressed her beak into the carpet while she was scratching? Does this mean anything? Does anyone else have a grey that does this?

Congratulations from Sterling

I feed my Grey a diet of Roudybush Sm pellets and mini Harrisons. She doesn't like large pellets. In the evenings when she is out of her cage I give he a mixture of fruits and veggies and then some birdy bread. She will get seeds as a treat a few times a week. I have to watch her diet as she will have a 30 gram weight range if I feed her evening foods prior to her eating her pellets

My grey is 2 years old. She likes everyones who visits. She is more my bird than my wifes. She acts the same to both of us. She never bites but she will nip if I try to make her do something she doesn't like. I usually get my way. We spend a lot of time with all our birds and they are all visitor friendly. We are blessed.

My Grey started talking at the age of one. She is almost two and associates words and phases with objects and movement.

My Grey Sterling is two years old. On a normal day she eats Roudybush and Harrisons pellets during the day in her cage. When I get home at 4PM she gets treats of soy nuts, corn and bananna chips. In the early evenings she will get mixed fruits (mellon strawberrys, mango, grapess and apples)and or veggies (brussels, carrots, broccoli and assorted peppers)The next course consists of birdy bread (filled with grains and veggies). If she eats her balance of food for the day she will get two spoons of mixed seeds.
