Why does Cag stretch neck and keep opening his mouth

My guy funnily does this also, but, he has his foot up selfishly near his ear when he yawns and superficially does the stretch. Have you noticed if you scritch their ears they yawn? My Yellow Naped Amazon also yawns if I scritch or touch his ears. Kathia
