  1. When it comes to preforming parrots the Amazon parrot sits at the top of the list. They are a very animated species of parrots and are often called the clowns of the parrot world. They have a in your face attitude, Are very hormonal when in season and unpredictable behavior can make them very hard to live with if not socialized. Still they are said to be the easiest parrot to train. Their out going attitude, their animated personality and their intelligence along with talking ability makes them a joy to watch. It takes a special person with parrot experience to work with these amazing parrots. They are very loyal and if not properly socialized become a one person parrot. Food for thought: You can take the best person in the world and if you look hard enough you can find something bad about them. You can take the worst person in the world and if you look hard enough you can find something good about them What you find depends on what you are looking for. When you have a Amazon look for the good and you will find it.

  2. Jay has been put on synthetic marijuana pills for pain and anxiety. Probably marinol (synthetic THC) I.wish it were the real thing. I don' know what the laws are in Arizona but I am eating, not smoking, real bud at night time. It is the combination of low THC and CBD that provides the best results for pain and sleep. CBD works for seizures. I do have a card. so I saw a MD.. .

  5. I've always liked that dino-parrot poster too. Every morning after her breakfast, GreycieMae has to do her pterrordactyl runs back and forth across the aviary. It usually sounds like there's a massive fight going on in there but it's just her getting her dinosaur out to play. 🤣

  6. You've not been practicing properly . This is how I usually have to do my computer work. Tinkerbell absolutely has to be sitting in my mouse hand. 🤣

  7. We were actually considering getting an Amazon until Timber had his health issues. Now he takes additional care and I feel that we need to focus on him. Reading your post, Ray, makes me wish we could have one!

  9. I feel for you. I broke a couple of finger bones many years ago. My job included a lot of keyboarding and I was totally in one hand mode. I was very surprised at the speed I was able to go after six weeks of "practicing" ha.

  10. Yes, great video! Also enjoyed the "prehistoric" pic. Hubby always tells Timber "your great great great great grandpa was a velociraptor."

  11. Typing one handed is not fun or easy. I can't use my left fingers at all which means I can't grab at all but life goes on and parrots still need attention.

  12. Well, my wife complains that she's 'third wife' behind GreycieMae and Tinkerbell and the service is pretty lacking back there! GreycieMae has a todo list a mile long and Tinkerbell is the most demanding lil ball of fluff I've ever met.

  14. My daughter and I have been blessed with two African greys. They are 18 and 16 years old. Both came from the same owner who raised them since they were babies. The male was very friendly when we meet him at his home. The female was very shy! Three weeks later, she has become a very loving bird! She loves interactions, stepping up and will even walk the house looking for us. She talks and talks! He has changed and refuses to step up. When we approach him, he fluffs his feathers, puts his head down and will lunge to bite if pushed. This makes going into his travel cage very difficult. He will take treats and food from our hands. If he flies to the floor he will step up without any hesitation. Any advice?

  16. Yeah, he's just being cautious, especially since he's now decided to step up. Our Huey took about three months before he started to trust us. Now he bites when we want to put him down and he still wants more dancing (bouncing around). That's a beautiful boy there ❤️

  20. When the people elected to serve the people refuse to do so, it makes it very difficult to have any confidence in the government. There is no humanness, no compassion, only endless rules and unbending stupidity I have nothing but the deepest contempt for those who refuse to help their fellow man. Having been on both sides of bureaucracy I know it is possible to find ways around these endless rules and I also know the stress of waiting for help. Even the thought of transporting Jay the ninety some miles to Los Vegas is ludicrous. I know that is only a part of the situation. Continued love and prayers, Howardine
