We will spend a quiet X Mass at home with all our critters and son as my wife has been very ill for over the past year or so. I hope all of my Grey Forums friends have a safe, healthy and happy Holiday.

Construction is finished and the paint is dry!!! Looks better with all the tools and stuff gone! We're not sure about the paint color though. I'm thinking of two-toning the wall the darker grey in a strip near the bottom. I still need to wire some lights and cameras into the soffits. We're totally in love with it. The birds - well Rio hates it. GreycieMae and Toby are exploring. Rio thinks his place is in the kitchen and it drives him bonkers that he can hear momma in the kitchen and he's not in the middle of it. Now I need to outfit it with safety screens and hang some toys/perches/ropes plant some safe plants, grow some rye grass... The double sliding glass door and walling in the existing porch was the smartest thing we did. Those weren't originally in the plans. We love it. GreycieMae's sunroom/aviary is now open for business!

Guys I have a friend North Ohio in search of a rescue grey, We recently visited him with Sukei and he fell in love with him. He has a three story house, with plenty of room, and patience. He is home all the time, and can spend the time needed to rehab one. Thanks

Thank you Acappella. Greywings, no, opening it at the warehouse wouldn't have been a perfect solution. My understanding is that the carpet all rolled up retains a lot of the gasses. Then opening it up, even with other rugs near it, would allow the rug to 'breathe'. May I ask what is a 'production' company? Who would I call? I would have no problem getting a slightly used rug. The problem would be getting it installed. I imagine I could find someone to do it, right? Can you tell I am not very good at handling this type of thing? LOL Thanks for all the answers - they really have helped me.

IMHO I would say start with SOCIALIZING so your family and friends can enjoy your grey with you.
