Hi everyone. I am starting to look for new wall to wall carpet for my living room. In the past I have heard that some new carpet gives off chemicals that harm or kill our parrots. Also I read that if you unroll the carpet for a few days that the chemicals will air out of the rug. Problem there - how do you know if the store really unrolls it or not? Does anyone have any recommendations?

When I view the activity feed I cannot see the thread titles because the text colour is the same as the background colour. This means I often open up the same thread multiple times because I don't realise the posts are from the same thread. So for example: Huey judygram replied to SRSeedBurners's topic in The GREY Lounge That is actually amazing they get along so well, you got your hands full for the next week. 1 hour ago 5 replies Looks like: If there is any way to correct that, I'd be very grateful. I'm not sure if this is an issue across all themes but it's definitely the case with the red theme for me.

All of the above. Also, only rescue animals/birds allowed to be sold in pet stores, no more breeders,or puppy mil dogs,cats. Strictly rescues!

Same here - the city was very lucky I didn't set my carpet on fire after I pulled that nasty stuff out of our house. Even without birds, I'd never go back to carpet, we're just not clean enough. Nobody wants to take their dang shoes off.

I never even noticed that. Looks like an issue with the Red Theme. I switched the Christmasy theme (very nice btw) and the titles are visible.

Well, he's kind of scared, new place, new people and all. Greycie is being a spoiled little brat with him but I can tell she doesn't hate him. She HATES Toby our Caique and stares steak knives at Toby. None of that with Huey.

Well, it's Nov. the 27th, which means it's my boy's hatchday. I'm so grateful that he came with his hatch day certificate so that I can keep track of his years accurately. So far he's had a wander around on the floor, made some more toothpicks out of my wooden filing cabinet, then retired to his cage for 1/2 a walnut in it's shell. Other than that, we're working hard on some sound extinguishing, so I'm not able to lavish attention on him today, as he's making the objectionable sound about every 5 seconds! Grrrrrr Anyway, wish my boy a happy hatchday if you'd like. He says hi to all of you.

Both of the above are on my agenda as well. I would like to see it easier for those who have befriended animal in abusive situations, or are abandoned overseas to bring them home.

A need to support the end of removing parrots from the wild in all countries if we can work together on that issue.
